It's worrying to have so many injured players so early into the season, normally we're struggling round about January, let's hope it's just a blip. :emoticon-0107-sweat

From what Pardew has said it sounds as if a lot of these injuries have come while away on international duty, so probably only a short term worry.

Always worry about playing at Goodison park but it's still a strong starting 11 (although not sure about the bench) and if some of the players have a bit between their teeth then could be a win but I don't see a clean sheet.

    We will lose. Simple.

Everton's a stronger team than people give credit for. I think the Jelavic dude is a handful, not to mention the likes of fellaini, baines.

On the other hand, I'm sick of talking about our lack of depth so I won't.

    Everton to win 3-1

Could also point out that Ba and Cisse are due goals. Our last PL goal from a defender came on 5th November by Ryan Taylor.

Now I know its been said many many times about the 4-4-2 form and the dembas lack of interaction but I am seriously concerned that If we go 4-4-2 and go for the game it might be another game like we witnessed last season against spuds when pardew said "I got it wrong"

We in all seriousness need to pack the midfield and wanted to suggest this:

    Krul

    Perch Taylor Colo

    Bigi Anita

    Cabaye

    HBA Guti
    Demba Ba

This would work IMO as we could try and control the midfield. Jonas and HBA could drift in and pack that midfield to stifle them.

    Thoughts!

I only count 10 players there? Plus Krul and Colo are injured.

For me it'd look like this

    ------------ Harper -----------
    Anita - Saylor - Perch - Santon
    ------- Bigi ----- Jonas ------
    ----------- Cabaye ------------
    HBA ------------------ Marveaux
    ------------- Ba --------------

Oops I missed Marv........ in alongside Cabaye.

I like the idea of 3-6-1

I didnt know Krul and colo was injured doh!

I have also heard that Perch wont make it either....

Cripes we really have an injury crisis.

This for me also, think Marv has looked the best "backup player" so far and should be given a run out. Have a feeling though we will go with..

    Same GK and Def but
    --Cabaye-Jonas--
    Obertan-HBA-Marv
    --------Ba--------

We should always be starting with one striker IMO.

We should be resting one each game, unless we need both and play Ba on the LW.

    Marv------Cisse-------HBA

    ----------Cabaye-------

    ----Bigi---------Jonas------

    Santon--Perch-Saylor--Anita

    ----------Harper--------------

This is why I think we should buy another creative mid in Jan. We don't really need another striker, just more creativity.

This way we can have fresh creative talent fit for every game, and one quality striker fit to start every game.

Play Ba or Cisse by themselves, and have a load of creativity around them.

Yahoo are saying that Steven Pienaar is also an injury doubt (fingers crossed) but I've been unable to verify this anywhere else.
