Think we will be too strong for Hull this season - James Henry and Andy Keogh on fire, Trotter and Abdu as good as ever, Malone impressing early doors, and a very strong back line. Tiggers 1 Rampant Lions 4 2 from Keogh and 1 each from Henry & Henderson
Faye will have Henderson in his pocket just like he did with Kevin Davies 2 weeks ago. Trotter is but just one man. Hull City are miles better than last season. Chester should be able to handle Keogh though. Let the Lions worry about the Tigers more so. It was. Shame the scoreline did not reflect that. But City are a far better team than last season. Millwall leak goals period. City dont. Kiss of death this maybe though. Anyway, Back on planet earth...................... This would be no surprise. As for the score i dont care as long as Hull City win.
HDM say 400 Millwall fans expected. Also, I reckon unchanged. 3-1 win for City, Simpson, Elmo, Quinn and 16.7k attendance.
if the ulltras chant is anything to go by he has plenty of backing , na na Nah na na nick proshwich (sp)
Millwall are something of a bogey team for us, having been beaten-to-nil in three of our four games since we came down from the Premier League, though we did win the second-to-last meeting. I'm going to go for Hull City 1-2 Millwall Attendance: 15,267
Hull City 2 - Millwall 2. Att. 16k Both teams on form and the stats are against us, I know they're there to be broken, but we haven't won our first 3 home games for 29 years and Millwall have won 5 of their last 6 away matches. But how strong we are at the minute, I think we'll take a draw. Scorers: Olofinjana and Simpson for City, Keogh and Trotter for Millwall.
My fiancee's uncle is a policeman, he told me the other day he hasn't seen any signs up for overtime for the match. From what I can gather, if you aren't on shift to work a match, but they need more on shift, they put notices up for overtime, so I'm guessing it'll just be the usual numbers of police.
The football played today was fantastic, so exciting. There is a real confidence there. I was watching it, enjoying it, and I thought that it isn't really a surprise. The midfield and forwards, constantly showing for the ball and moving around so cleverly, it was impossible for Millwall to handle. Better teams will be sterner, but Millwall crumbled in the face of a superior set of players who fancied it, big time. Aluko, Koren, Quinn, Elmo, Simpson & Dugeon all causing chaos all the time. There's some proper quality in that lot, it's no fluke. Oli just played it neat and nicely, the back 3 stood strong. We look good. We look like we have goals in us. Could've even had some in the 2nd half. We definitely took our foot off the gas, but still managed to get into dangerous positions. Just not quite as a sharp around the box after half time. Dominant and exciting, I really enjoyed it today. Long may it continue. I'd give Simpson MOM. His confidence is sky high, and he beat some of their defenders for skill at times in a way I don't think he would've attempted in previous seasons. Lad is on fire.
Can we have goal line technology please as the ball was about two feet over the line before their keeper clawed it back... How the linesman didn't see it when I in the east stand could see it was well over the line... I think City declared at half time. The only negative is that we missed an oppportunity to hit them for 6 or 7. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt us at the end of the season in terms of goal difference. Still an excellent display of attacking football that few sides in the championship would have lived with.
