Looking forward to this. It feels like about three weeks since I've been to the Valley. Oh wait a minute........

Hard one to call. Hopefully the time delay will have allowed CP to get the Forest game out of the system. Jury out on Stephens for me. If his head is in the right place, I'll be glad he's back. I hope (though doubt) that Danny Green gets a start. We have been desperate for width all season. I can see CP trying a 4 3 3 hybrid with Fuller, Kermit and BWP up front with Fuller and BWP taking turns to play wide. Jacko will get an opportunity to prove that he's just had a slow start rather than being found out at this level. I wish him well but if he's cack again tonight I'd rest him. Can't see a place for Pritch tonight in any of my favoured options. I'd go with

Hamer, Solly, Cort (if fit), Morro, Wiggy, Jacko, Hollands, Stephens, Green, BWP, Kermit with an early introduction for Fuller.

Can't make a sensible prediction as I'm still unsure how good we are. I'm hoping for a decent win.

Cort was never injured. I was listening to a pre-match interview with Powell on Player, and the question was asked about Leon Cort's fitness. He said that he's been training all week, and has not suffered any injury. Also revealed that Scott Wagstaff has been training all over the international break too, after suffering from an illness.

Wonder if he'll be on the bench tonight? Might be a bit too soon, but he has proven to be a quality player for us.

All I got to say, is I'm looking forward to tonight. COYRs.

    You'd drop him ;)

Has any news outfit picked up on Cort being injured? Yet to read anything from CP about it, so am really hoping he is fit. At Forest he was a mountain- not being beaten in the air and throwing his body around blocking shots.

It seems they will line up in a 4-2-3-1. The 3 behind Murray is their obvious strength with Zaha, Bolassie and a guy called Moritz (who seemingly impressed on his debut). JJ and Wiggins will have their work cut out with Zaha but do we go for Pritchard on the right to help Solly with Bolassie, or do we exploit YB's lack of interest in tracking back himself? The more I think about it, the more this is the game where Green comes in and we go for it.

Their defence is there for the taking, and I have enough faith in ours to cope with their attackers.

EDIT - CAFC fan answers my first question, so thanks :)

SLP reporting that we were offered Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley on loan.

'' Four pages of build-up to #cafc v #cpfc in the paper today. So what do people think? Feeling confident?
Also a story on the back about how #cafc were offered Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley on loan. ''

Pretty confident of a good result tonight infront of a buzzing 22k crowd !! 3-0 to us Free-Scoring-Rip-Roaring Addicks! Fuller! Kermo! Solly!

whats annoying me about tonights game is that from a palace fans point of view, they think that we think its our biggest game and that they're acting like it means nothing to them.

even if they do think like that, surely being in the bottom two makes the next game for them a big one? i'm glad they dont see us as a big game, means they wont raise their game. and anyhow, if we play at our average levels i can see us bossing this and strolling out 2-0 winners. dont care who we play, 3 points is what will make it a good night or not.

Leaving aside the rivalry, if we don't win this then I would start to worry about our prospects for this season.

I think we will win, though. Stephens and BWP, 2-0.

Seeing I was only watching it on the tele being stuck in Leicester 'n' all I can't say much about it,

Hamer great game, did nothing wrong and almost scored,
the lino better no come within a mile of me any time soon
Ref i thought was suprisingly good
Pritchard shouldn't step foot near the first team for a long time. Danny Green came on (and i know he's not consistant we all saw him last year) but he looked bright and should have come on soo much sooner. Pritchard can p!ss off back to the reserves for a good few weeks at least he is not a Championship player and tbh last year I questioned if he was even a League 1 player too

Oh and lets hope Wiggins didn't break his foot, looked like it was a bad one and Zaha ran riot tonight, not going to deny that he has talent, especially seeing he's like 19 or something

The difference was Zaha. I thought solly put up a good fight seeming we know he struggles at LB, but he is a class above.

And I was watching from home due to doctors orders. Feel worse now, no anti biotics for this though :(

Hope you get better soon, but yeah Solly put in a good effort but Zaha is class, my Palace fan friend (who i'll be avoiding for a few weeks) was bricking it about Zaha going and I have no idea why, but tonight there was no questioning he was a class act

The thing about Zaha was going in to the break he looked frustrated as he wasn't having the best luck. He came back out and stepped it up several gears. Shows he has a great mentality too.

He was the difference. Palace did a brilliant job in keeping him, so credit to them there.

Wanted to slap lennie at the end when he was having a good old laugh with 30 seconds left. But that might be a bad reaction to the bad result.

Been an area of concern since last January. Need to dive in to the loan market IMO. Wonder how far CP got with reo-coker? I imagine he chuckled after seeing tonight's game.

We will struggle all season without width - as people are saying Zaha made the difference, and Green is in that class on his day. It's madness playing 4 central midfielders and never putting crosses in to Kermo/Jacko.

As for Hamer, yes he was decent playing wise, but he is just a ****er - when Wilson passed it back and he kicked it at the Palace man Hamer went mad. I plain hate him.

Chrissy again got his tactics and timings wrong with the subs - you could clearly see how much Lennie was a factor in Freedman's mentality.

I kept hoping Lennie would do a Darth Vader and crush the Emperor.

Also, not sure if it was your brainchild Paul, but charlton were TT on twitter due to Liverpool fans thanking CAFC for playing YNWA. They seemed very moved by the gesture.

A nice tribute from the club.

I actually don't think zaha did a great deal to be honest they wanted it more and out muscled us I do fear for us we were poor n they were very slightly better.if the goal had been given who knows green n fuller were two of our best players and they came on with 15 or 20 to go I hate palace so much.I had to endure their fans them on the train back to london bridge n Norwood junction.
Quiet as lambs at Charlton station then once the train pulled out off they went .
We need width green to start at derby .thought court had a decent game again our mr consistent.
We certainly ain't having any luck the late goal at Birmingham the disallowed goal tonight we should be 4 points better off

I don't think our Centre of midfield is a problem, I simply think that the width is our problem, Hollands and Stephens are good player and I think they played alright tonight, Jacko is okay, I don't mind him, good cross on him, his problem is he cuts in too much, Pritchard, i've abused him for two weeks now is simply not a RM, he is the worse RM i have seen in a long time for us, he is a league 1 player at best, Greeny all the way, even when Green is poor he can put in a better cross then pritchard, Pritchard has a cross soo poor my nan could do a better one and he's in her 70s and in a wheel chair, that is how poor pritchard is. If Green does not start soon Prithchard is clearly Powell's love child
