Tomorrow 14.55 Doncaster - Wild Coco but 7/4 too short to tempt me in.

 

Apparently 9/4 available this morning. Would have taken that but didn't see it.

Watching on TV now so may just take the best available odds before the race as shown on Ch 4.

 

Looks like I won't get better than 7/4 now so will have £400 Wild Coco before they all get in the stalls (just 4 more to go).

 

A bit worried 2 out but she did it nicely in the end. Another £700 profit.

Total stake = £2,200 (ie the rest of the Betting Bank)

If both lose that will be the end of Stage 2 with a healthy profit of £7,550

 

Damn. I've been waiting for Baby Strange to run and he goes in the 15.55 Chester tomorrow, currently showing 6/1. No money left in the Betting Bank at present. Will have to see if I have anything left after the 2 above have run.

****ing hell. That was almost a disaster. Certify sprinted 8l clear with Purr Along and just got the better of a very gallant filly.

So that's £2,200 profit on Certify, reduced by the £300 on savers. As is usual with more than one horse in a race, it is regarded as a single bet with the Betting Bank remaining unchanged and the Piggy Bank being increased by the net profit.

Revised due to void bets. Profit = £2,200

Absolute rubbish. Never in it. I think I'll have to give up on Baby Strange. Lost £600
