Here's the recap of Elmohamady's interview I promised: http://www.kingfut.com/2012/09/13/elmo-targets-promotion-permanent-hull-city-switch/ Also think it would've been exciting to see Mohamed Zidan at Hull!
Nice article. Interesting that Elmo refers to rivals Bolton - Blackburn - Wolverhampton and Brighton. We we have beaten 2 of them already and unLuckily lost @ Blackburn so that just leaves Wolves. Not doing bad are we Elmo ?
Thanks for this article which is very intersting, we hope Elmo's wish come true and we are back in the top flight next season.
I think with Elmo, he's not exactly the paciest or most skillful of players, but he gives us something we haven't had in a while; a winger that will deliver the ball to our forwards. For the last 2 Seasons, we haven't had any supply to the boys up top which has made the Club suffer in the 'Goals' department. Elmo has the desire to put the ball in the area, whereas Cameron Stewart and Robbie Brady seemed to want to shoot more than they did cross. So many times did Stewart get to the by-line and have a great opportunity to drill the ball across the area, and they chose to shoot or attempt to take the defenders on. I like Elmo, and if the price is right, we should get him.
Correct me if i'm wrong, as I haven't seen him play yet but I thought he was supposed to have lots of pace but was lacking in the delivery department?
I saw him running at Bolton's full back and he didn't exactly look pacey. He put balls in the area, some were dangerous and some could have been better. Whether the crosses are good or bad, it's still an improvement as we're actually putting the ball in the oppositions area instead of sideways passing on the 10 yard mark, hoping Koren can score or nick one of the strikers through.
Super Tiger is right. Elmo hardly ever even tried to take a player on against Bolton - he just got the ball in the box every time he got it. He must have been told to do it a lot by the manager. It was clearly noticeable that the crosses were quaity balls as well.
