We had about 4 or 5 managers in the time Taarabt signed on loan and Warnock arrived.

awjm! How is Colin supposed to get to be a proven PL manager if b*st*rds fire him after 4/5 months of the PL, and after very good results the first 3 months or so. He wasn't just brilliant for us in the Championship, he had a pretty good start in the PL too- up to 9th I think it was after we won at Stoke, with the Championship team and only some very hasty signings end August.

No, he went back to Spurs so he was their player. COLIN then followed him to Africa to sign him and then built his team around him.

Although what that's got to do with it I don't know.

He took down every team he managed in the PL, he was well on the way to doing it again, hes an awful manager at PL level where tactics are important.

There was only one: Sheffield United.

Flyer, you're like a dog with a bone. Just give it a rest FFS!

Just 3 degrees here this morning. Wore my tights on the bike, everything would freeze and fall off, if you didn't

Reckon he'd have been safe under him by end March - but we'll never know. Whatever, we were a lot more of an exciting team to watch under him, than we have been under MH.

WE hadnt won in months and he had lost the team. Anyone could see we were utterly clueless.

The truth is NOBODY knows what would have happened if Warnock had remained in charge. We might of finished higher, we might of gone down. If I’d been born with t*ts I might’ve never left the house. If I’d not had that joint in sixth form I might not have gotten into Jimi Hendrix and Cream quite as much, and I might have gotten better A levels results.

The board took a gamble in replacing Warnock with Hughes, and it paid off. Just.

I agree with what you're saying but that's kind of my point. He treated him like a baby and then was suddenly really harsh when the PL started. It was inconsistent and obviously didn't work with Taarabt. If you treat someone like they're so important and then the next season treat them like they're a liability or not in their plans, especially if that player did wonders for you, then it's a bit dodgy.

It was barely 2 months from when we last won before Colin was sacked, and we were 9th in the PL before the poor, but not very long run, FFS! We were mid-table for 2 of his 4 months in the PL. We have looked far more "clueless" with a far improved squad under MH, than we did at our worst under Colin. Our highest position under MH in the PL is what 17th, and now we are 19th? Under Colin I don't think we ever hit the bottom 3. It is very hard to see any style of play at present. Colin was and is a W*nker, (who isn't!!), but we played with a verve and spirit that seems to have got totally lost under the present Management. I really hope that now with still more good players we will start to bubble again, but if we ain't by mid- November, I think and hope we'll have a new Manager. A return for Colin is pretty unlikely, but we could do a lot worse.

I agree, I think he's actually an outstanding manager in some ways. But I just don't think he's perfectly suited for the PL and his man management is sometimes a bit dodgy. Also, his 25 man squad choice was diabolical!

Really? I remember some exciting performances under MH last season!

Yes, team morale was bad and I really do think he had lost a lot of the team, including Taarabt. NW seemed to change totally when he started the PL season, almost like everything got to his head or was too cocky with winning the Champ.

A Diabolical squad? But he still took us to PL mid table! He would have improved the squad last summer, if he had had the funding, and would have again January.

The performances end last season under MH were exciting only in that the results were so important. The style of play was basically park the bus and hit on the break, and that wasn't very clear.

Colin got the very best out of Adel both in the Championship, and early season PL, and got him back performing well again after Adel lost it mid autumn, and left him out for a month or two.

I'm talking about how he included some terrible players that he never wanted to use instead of some players that could have been useful. AND he sent Clint Hill out on loan!!!!?

I'm not so sure about that. He (Taarabt) was average early in the PL season at best and then totally dipped in performance after NW booted him out of the squad. He picked up a little bit seemed a lot happier as soon as NW left and then came well into the team and was important towards the end of the season.

I'm not slagging Warnock off because I think he did wonderful things at QPR and, for that, is a legend. I just question his level of professionalism at times and his know-how in the Premier League.

The weather is very up and down in Oslo these days - 3 degrees this morning, but 17 maybe middle of the day yesterday or day before. If they are on a cruise they are probab on the west coast and the weather can be very different there - normally milder and wetter, but not always! But they are probably enjoying the trip anyway - great scenery.
