After the Hillsborough enquiry and papers were made public and the public apology made by Cameron, I think playing Liverpool this weekend could be very difficult - they are all going to have an extra 20% in their locker and be massively up for the task. Hope the lads can see them off and get us 3 points.

Unfortunately I can't go to the game as I am in Greater Manchester at a wedding (my best mate's Dad is getting married) However - the afternoon do finishes at 5pm and the evening do starts at 7:30 so should be able to find the game somewhere!!

Nee excuse Reg, I'll give you that.

Why miss a game just to see some poor bastard consign himself to a life of misery?

    On your 8000th post too.

Don't want to tempt fate but bar Gerrard id be surprised if any of their players even batted an eye lid over the news.

I have heard however that therll be a minutes applause 6 minutes in so im expecting a 'ynwa' love in between both sets of fans.

I expect our players to focus on the task at hand. Score first and we'll batter them I reckon.

The events of yesterday will have little or no effect on the players imo, as many of them were not born, or were mere toddlers at the time but it will have a massive one on the fans of both clubs. I was 24 at the time and it has stuck with me ever since.

I hope we play our part in celebrating the 96 before the kick off but then let the football take precedent and win the game. We need to win the game.

It's important to draw a distinction between the two things.

    Agreed.
It would be nice to play YNWA before the game mind.

Won't make a difference if you ask me. They've got a nasty piece of work in their side in the form of Suarez and that alone makes me want to stuff them rotten.

That said, I hope the formalities are observed properly, as the 96 who died deserved better than they got and we should never forget that. There but for the grace of God...

me too, but if we don't beat them I'll be gutted as they're ****ing **** imo, if they finish in the top half they'll have done well, that's how far they've fallen
