Mackenzie might have apologised but he's still passing the buck. That ****s only regret is that The Truth has ever come out. Scum of the earth. Obviously I'm no fan of Tory prime ministers but I have to say Cameron spoke well today. The Suns headline tomorrow should simply say "We lied".
This is something i've seen on Twitter.I assume a lot of you lads would have seen this before. It just shows what a **** McKenzie is https://twitter.com/walsh_i/status/245896653456932864/photo/1
Norwich fan in peace! We were involved in the other semi final at Villa Park that day! All I can remember is that we lost but so what, there was something far more important going on in Sheffield! I'm so pleased that all your fans have been shown to be absolutely blameless, and I'm so sad that it's taken 23 tortuous years to arrive, finally, at that truth! You'll never walk alone!
McKenzies words are as follows. I was not sorry then...and I'm not sorry now. Dirty diseased ridden bastard. You and Thatcher are an incestuous marriage made in hell.
The only reason they're apologising is because they've been exposed as liars. **** them, **** them all. All that matters is that all the myths surrounding Hillsborough which were peddled by people who had no idea what they were talking about such as Boris Johnson have now been destroyed.
I watched a few minutes of PM's question time before the Hillsborough announcement. It was the usual idiotic mayhem and name-calling in the Commons. By contrast the speech and debate about Hillsborough was dignified and respectful from all concerned. It made me think that if they attempted to run the country in the same way, things would be a lot better. I could never bring myself to vote conservative, but it gave a glimpse of how things could, and should, be conducted. Mackenzie is a worm who should never work again. He is symptomatic of the worst excesses of the press. We need a free press, we need a press that has the will and the freedom to challenge and investigate- but they need to properly research their reporting and ensure that it's accurate. And they need to curb their desire to sensationalise everything in order to sell. They have to be made accountable for what they write, and made to retract any falsehoods. As has been pointed out, no apology from Mackenzie would ever be satisfactory or believable, he appears to have no remorse for the grief he has contributed to for so long. At least now the rest of the world can see the truth that we've known all along, and see him for the bastard he is.
I would never seek to portray Kelvin Mackenzie in a positive light (although this lad has had a bit of a hard time through no fault of his own). But his acknowledgement that he did get it wrong, however belated and meaningless the actual apology, does at least ensure that what we have learned today is the undisputed truth.
I notice Steven Cohen's bitterness is still shining through. He's just as bad as Kelvin MacKenzie, if not worse, but he doesn't have the same level of influence as MacKenzie. His previous Hillsborough comments made Liverpool fans start a campaign against him and he got sacked from his Fox Soccer job and has been extremely bitter against Liverpool since then. For people who don't know him
Yeah, saw he's still on his twitter rant. I truly hope he continues after today. The more he does it the more of a tinfoil hat bigot he shows himself to be. Watch as every future employer, friend & partner slowly back away from him as you would that sad drunk at the end of the bar that keeps talking about the chip in his head. These people will now be shown to be the jokes of human beings they are.
I live in Notts and obviously know a few N.Forest fans (some were at the game that day). Despite saying they are happy to see todays verdict, they are still spouting bollocks about ticketless and aggressive Liverpool fans. As I expected, people believe what they want rather than what is clearly true. I've briefly argued before realising there is little point as they won't change their minds. As the saying goes...mud sticks!
The Daily Telegraph didn't think the biggest cover up in recent domestic history was worth putting anywhere on their front page.
Never thought I'd see that. I'll take it at face value and assume it's genuine. Simon Heffer, who actually wrote the Boris 'maudling, self-pity" rant is on the Telegraph editor's board. 'Nuff said.
What I find most incredible about this piece of scum is that for 20 years... And even today... His sole defence has been 'a politician told me, and therefore it must be true...'
And before this gets too party political, as has just been said by kirsty wark on Newsnight, Jack Straw (mendacious sh!thouse) had the chance to do all this 13 years ago. 'New' Labour were never our friends on this either.
