Anyone know of the best place to get FIFA either pre-order or release? Anything above £30 seems criminal to me, let alone the £42 most outlets want!
Amazon costs 42 for the Ultimate edition. But if you pre-order this edition, you get loads of free UT packs, and you get it delivered on the morning of the release date.
Thanks, but got no interest whatsoever in the UT. Probably wait til release date and watch what Asda does; they usually have it for around the £32 mark.
Sorry but this game is clearly scripted. I'm constantly having the comp scoring last minute crappy goals against me. I was 1-0 vs City. I have Milner perfectly contained, but he somehow manages to swivel, kick the ball with his left foot and finish it perfect in the net. Then Balotelli scores a ****ing ridiculous 25 yard shot. Then I manage to get past the CPU's defence in the last seconds, but my player just happens to slip as I press the B button to shoot
Oh yeah. I forgot about all that; sold FIFA12 on eBay about 8 months ago and was just starting to get the itch again, thinking "why did I actually get rid of it?" then I remembered this. One thing I read about that was confirmed then denied by EA Japan was something called a "momentum engine". Basically, it's based on Liverpool vs AC Milan in the Champs League Final. So no matter how outplayed your opponent is, he'll get a golden chance - usually take it - then be utterly unplayable, your players fall to pieces, and so on. I think it basically instantly adjusts all settings by something ridiculous (not pace) by +/- 20, so you could be 3-0 up, they'll get that moment and then everything they do will be gold. I'm getting angry just thinking about it. I managed to get to Div One, and sometimes I was actually the lucky basterd who got all the breaks.
I've been playing Fifa 13 demo and I dribble like I'm stricken down with polio and are notoriously drunk. My passing rarely gets to the teammates and I never make a decisive in the final 3rd. My shooting is average and my set pieces would be improved by a dwarf. I play on amateur and win 4-5 goals to nil, I play on intermediate and get beat 2-1 if I'm lucky but any level above those 2 and I get absolutely drubbed. I used to be an absolute monster on Fifa 08-11 but on Fifa 12-13 I play like absolute platypus poo.
This makes me a little hopeful tbh. How do you improve keeping the ball? I know no tricks in the dribbling side of the game.
I know fake shot, roulette and that's it. I never needed tricks, I eventually perfected my passing game, and just raped players that way. I played so many people that thought they were awesome, just trying to do ****ty skills. I ended up beating them all, with significantly weaker teams. I'm never that good on the demos. It's always harder to learn these things against the comp, because they know how to counter it. You'll notice you'll get better as you play on the proper game and pwn some online bitches.
What sort of team do you guys want to end up with after a while on UT? I want an Italian/Italian league passing side. I love passing my way through teams. Here's the sort of side I'd love - Giovinco-----Di Natale-------Rossi ----De Rossi--Pirlo--Vidal------ De Cegelie--Cheillini-Balzaragi--Cacares -------------Buffon------------ Subs - Cassano Sjneider Lucio Cavani W.Samuel Montolivo Aqulani I was gonna have Maicon, but I'm not too sure about fullbacks at the moment. I know Sjneider, Montolivo and Aqualani are better passer than De Rossi and Vidal, but De Rossi and Vidal have great stamina, get up and down the pitch, get in space, and are great box to box mids. Plus they're still both great passers of the ball, and good at shooting. The flowing movement wouldn't be as good with a midfield full of the same sort of creative mid. But in case of injuries and to give players a rest, I'll have appropriate back ups
This is the side I will build on Career Mode on Fifa 13. Capel-----Cisse-------Ben Arfa ----Anita--Tiote--Cabaye------ F Luis--Colo-Taylor--Santon -------------Krul------------ Subs: Curtois Taylor Van Dijk Bigi Jonas Marveaux Ba
One thing i've noticed recently when playing online, is that certain players are impossible to get past, it is like they have the computer defending for them and they make no effort to get the ball, and i'm pinned back. How do you get around this? and how are these players getting the computer to defend?
I'm up for some career mode, as they seem to have sorted the AI out a bit. Last game, world class were **** overall, but they scored the most ridiculous goals. It looks like the AI will be fun to play against again. But one thing I noticed is that they seem to always score annoyingly ridiculous goals in the last minute, if the game thinks it shouldn't be losing.
My Fifa 13 pre order is a different edition and costs an extra £5. Can anyone tell me what it is and what I get for an extra fiver?
Is it the ultimate edition? If so, it means you get 24 free gold packs for UT team when you play it. You get 3 every month for about 8 months. That's the only extra I know, there might be some other ****.
I never explored UT, what extras does a gold pack have? and in the Jan transfer window will the players who move be changed on Fifa too?
