I beleive the time has come for new moderators, daveunited and viva aren no longer active, therefore correct moderation is not happening. I think all united fans on here should selsect 2 new mods so we can sort this board out once and for all. Swarbs does a great job but doesnt have the power he should have
Swarbs and Daveunited are active and good mods imo. I do think Viva United needs to be replaced though.
This issue was raised a few weeks ago, but I don't think Swarbs or Daveunited agreed with having an additional moderator. This issue can be sold in the most fairest ways by selecting nominees and creating a poll.
I didn't really have any views either way. To be honest the way we went about it before was a bit half arsed - as soon as the nominations opened, pretty much every United fan nominated themselves and complained about other people being nominated. I've PMed Maltese Mick to ask if he has any requirements for how we should do it, but if we can get two or three active and relatively uncontroversial people nominated then that would be a good start.
I don't think others mind who's actually nominated unless it's Nohlman or 99. The reason they nominated themselves is because Nohlman put his name forward.
Let's be honest vivautd never bothers with this site and should be removed. Dave doesn't appear to be as interested as he could, though I do believe he will be more active once 606 finishes. Swarbs is the only truely active mod and he does a grand job. However there does appear to be a prob with Nolhman but rather than ban the plank, just everyone click ignore. He'll soon get the message and leave. Simple really.
Mick and I are in the process of discussing what should be done about the whole nolhman issue and also how best to go about fixing it. We're also talking about what to do re: moderating the board. Please bear with us for now and we'll try and get it sorted soon. In the meantime, just try not to get drawn into the whole bs, and if you have any constructive feedback please PM me.
Nolhman used to be relevant at times but he seems to have become more and more obsessed with furthering his reputation as a hate figure on this forum. Disappointing, because when he wants to make a sound, intelligent point, he is capabale of doing so. Hopefully, he will start to post his true opinions again in future, rather than thinking he's intelligent enough to play everyone off against him.
Get with what? I'm only discussing the manner in which Lusinani17 has been able to control this forum. The rest of you should either engage him or block him. No stupid namechanging, no massaging his ego. Get on with it and discuss football. We're 6 points clear, 4 games left. It looks pretty good. I look forward to seeing more discussions on that, rather than the bashing of a guy who clearly craves it.
He's not breaking any rules. And tbh, you guys spend more time knocking him than discussing United at times. Ignore him and he'll go away. I repeat, he doesn't deserve to be banned.
