Seems to be behind Shelvey as well although I wouldn't mind him playing a few more games. I wonder what his confidence will be like if BR really did try and use him as a makeweight to try and engineer the deal for Dempsey. Can't have done him much good if true.
Lookinfg forward to the game will be the first of the season form . I would expect Rose to start at LB and Colback to play CM with Larsson dropping to the bench. With Sess Johnson and Mclean forming a creative partnership behind Fletcher and Catts an Colback forming a solid CM block. Over all for the season I would be happy with 8th and of course to finish above the team from up the road. This week I will go for 1-0 to Sunderland
Safc fan here I think we'll line up like this : Mignolet O'shea brown cuellar colback Larsson cattermole Johnson sess mclean Fletcher And i expect a near on full house and 3 points, really looking forward to the match
Worth noting that Joe Allen starts for Wales tonight in their World Cup qualifier with Serbia. Has shaken off the illness he had and that should mean he has a good chance of starting on Saturday.
Yeah mate, it's normally Fletcher upfront with Saha on the bench -------------------------- Mignolet --------------------------------------------- - Gardner ------- O'Shea ------ Cuellar ------------ Rose---------------------- ------------ Colback ---------- Cattermole ------------------------------------- -- Johnson ---------- Sessegnon ---------------- McClean --------------------- ----------------------- Fletcher --------------------------------------------------
Fletcher up front with the beach ball should get the goals Seriously, I would never predict a win over you lot as you always seem to play well against us. That said, WTF you were doing when you sent Carroll off to West Ham I'll never know. We have had a solid, if unspectacular start and a draw wouldn't be a bad result for us, but this is as good a time as any to be playing you and if we don't go for the throat I'll be mightily P'd off. Fletcher is very accurate in front of goal and you'll have to stop us getting the ball to him if you are to win. It'll be a good test for the McLean, Johnson and Larsson trio and we have Sessegnon playing further up the middle as well. It will be really tight, as usual, whatever the line-ups.
2-0 Sunderland is my guess. We will have a **** load of chances, miss all of them, Suarez will be fouled loads and get nothing, then he will be booked for showing his frustration when the linesman wrongly adjudges him offside. We will concede two sloppy goals, both from open play. Rodgers will say "I can't fault the players as they were terrific" and i'll end up murdering a prostitute. #MysticMeg
2-0 Sunderland, fletchers fit, firing & fresh. I might put him in my dream team, a sure fire way of making sure he underperforms.
What I do expect is a great rapport with the large number of Liverpool fans who will travel to the game before, during and after the match, as this has always been the case. However, this was not the case with your Everton neighbours in the FA Cup tie last season, when due to free travel given to all their fans by their club they actually managed to bring a decent following for once, and their behaviour was like a throw back to the 70s/80s hooligan era..
