Only 67 points way behind winners who had over 90. How did an Arsenal team that good on paper only get only 67 points, just three more than Chelsea (which had a fixture pile-up too as we won the FA Cup too).

So you are honestly trying to tell me that last years Chavski side who finished 6th is better than the 2005/06 Arsenal side. I highly doubt that said Chavski side could have beaten Barca, Villareal, and Madrid. And that Arsenal team still had MORE points than said Chavski side, stop making excuses for your team. If I wanted to, I could say that that Arsenal side decided to focus solely on the CL resulting in our lower point haul.

That real Madrid side in 06 was awful. Only getting 70 points. Villarreal were even worse only getting 57 and coming eighth. It was a poor La Liga that season. LasT season the best teams in this century were in the semis. That bayern side was excellent too. You will see how good Bayern and dortmund are in this year's comp Arsenal 06 finished 25 points behind Chelsea too. 2006 was a weak competition
