Adam in the front three worked a lot better I think and I reckon Nigel will stick with that. There's no chance of him getting on the field tonight, but I hope he learns a lot by being there. I bet he is pinching himself a little bit. And he knows that if he has an excellent season, he will have every chance of getting in the squad more regularly. Wouldn't moan too much about big club bias personally seeing as we have got a man in there. Sterling has been excellent and will definitely be involved in the future.
2 CMs and Lallana/Ramirez for expansive, 3 CMs for compact. I expect "compact" will win out on Saturday.
Cork got himself injured at the wrong time (if there is ever a good time)...has to fight to get in team.
Would be great if he's fit for Saturday. He'd be great to have on the bench for some fresh legs in midfield.
Lol. Cleverley was garbage and Gerrard is way past it. Shame cos Gerrard used to be awesome. Hasn't moved on and has been left behind still trying Beckhamesque long diagonal balls that look great but at the wrong moment and achieve little. I should add unlike when Beckham used to do those balls at the right moments.
What a load of rubbish that game was, it looked like the way to score was to miss the goal mouth. Having said that, it was a proud moment to see Adam sat on the bench.
Lallana should have come on last night. He was the best option on the bench to play in the hole behind the striker. Cleverly is completely out of his depth in the final third.
