Maybe you are right, I thought it was a public vote, if it is what you say then I haven't a clue who will win.
Murray deserves the award. Gold medal, silver medal and the first Grandslam in 75 years betters any of the rest IMO. Wiggins is in with a shout as well though.
Absolutely knackered at work after staying up to watch that, was up there with some of the greatest sporting moments I have ever witnessed, Andy Murray is an utter utter legend!!!! For SPOTY, Wiggins will win it, 1st ever yellow and a gold, Mo Farah and Ennis will be 2nd and 3rd, though maybe not in that order. No one has really mentioned Rory McIllroy either...youngest double major champion and winning a shed load of titles, guess he and Murray will have plenty more opportunities over the next few years to make it tho. Finally, it never fails to amaze me how football fans who will happily support such wonderful people as John Terry, a racist adulteror, when he's in an England shirt have the f**king nerve to criticise Murray for his personality because he's a bit moody on court......
Think the journalists vote for their personal top ten, the ten who have the overall most nominations make the shortlist then it's down to a public vote, at least that's how it's worked in the past
He could go with a good haircut. Brian wouldn't be happy with that mop. I watched the first two and half sets then started to bob off, I'm not the biggest tennis fan in the world. Now this might sound a bit ponceyfied but does the squeaking sound of the players trainers on the court go through anyone else? It's a horrible noise. In fact it doesn't sound a bit ponceyfied , it sounds full on gay.
I think you are right. From memory, a long-list is prepared, which is whittled down to 10 by sports journos. The final 10 is by public vote
I watched Murrays interview with the Sky team after the match and he came over very well for a change, think maybe he has matured a lot this year. Can only be Wiggins for Personality of the year though.
I can't say that I've noticed, although having played raquet sports for most of my life I've probably got used to it. Does that make me a ponce?
Thanks. You know, when I woke up this morning I had no idea I would be "outed" on here. In fact, I didn't even know I was a ponce. Every day's a school day as they say. But thanks for letting me know. Don't know how the wife's gonna take the news mind.
Don't kid yourself, she already knows. She just hasn't had the heart to tell you. Give a couple of weeks and you'll be thanking me for this.
We all knew mate, it's glaringly obvious but yes she has been talking about you behind your back. I won't tell you the little nick name she has for you Larry. Ooops, I've said too much.
As in "shut that door" Grayson? Suppose it could be worse. She could call me Dale. Or Louis. That would be grounds for divorce
