Well Ladies ad Gents, first time I have been on since we won yesterday, it was a great game of football and i was just saying to the ones around me just before Diame scored "remember his screamer last year", well that one was better. Anyway...

Gyan going off actually helped us,

Because we had no strikers, we had midfielders running behind and the defence didnt know who to mark and everyone wanted to score that goal which we havent seen this season for a midfielder.

And when we were in the lead everything was working for us, The tackles, the passses, the dribbles and it was just great too watch.

Henderson reminded me of Rico at Blackpool because they knew that there was more pressure on them too score because we had limited other options and it was good for the lads confidence, shame he didnt get a hatrick.

My heart was in my mouth at the penalty, i thought sess would miss and then get a hard time off the fans but he scored and he kinda took off after that with his runs and passes, it was a massive weight off our shoulders.

Onto Wigan, god knows what we will do upfront but im sure it will be a good game if we played like we did after the equiliser went on.

    Onwards and upwards!

guess against fulham it will have to be sess playing up front with ???????

anyway for a while i have said i wasn't impressed with sess and muntari, and i'm pleased sess is finally proving i may have missed judged him, but he's still got to keep it up.

as for gyan, guess i'll have to wait till next season, when he gets a new strike partner for him to pursuade me he is right for safc. but we did seem to do better once he went off,

Sess really impressed me yesterday, thought he really stood up to be counted, even first half when nothing was really happening for us, he was constantly trying to run at people and make an impression.

I maintain that i think, after a good pre season, he'll be a mammouth player for us.

The points of your article i fully endorse, surely, surely now we're safe, it's time for Bruce to encourage the midfield to get up behind the forwards, and shoot and play like we did for a magnificent 35 mins or so yesterday?

Bruce needs a lot to turn the tide back from him, a glut of goals between now and seasons end would certainly help his cause!

we normally have one or 2 in the box from crosses but yesterday we had 5 or 6 runners which was a breath of fresh air.

Sess could be a nani ;)

Totally agree mate, the lad has great feet, and just the way he holds the ball means defenders have to step in to tackle him, he's strong, he has some flair, and we've been waiting years for a single minded player who wants to beat his man.

The 'men in the box' point you raise is spot on,we also lack some height in there, and that must be rectified in the summer, but i'm a lot more positive not just from yesterday, but from a genuinely good display last week as well.

It hasn't been mentioned, but i thought Turner was a lot better, he clearly still ain't totally fit, but he was looking a lot better in terms of his movement i thought.

Anyone know the craic with Noble? I heard he was crocked, but can't seem to find any info?

This could be his chance to shine, maybe?

Be a shame if he wasn't fit for the run in, as Gyan shouldn't be risked now even if he's passed fit, give him the time now to get back raring to go for pre-season.

All these muscular injuries are insane, there has to be s problem with the pitch, either at the SOL or AOL.

Something, somewhere has to be putting a strain on the players, it's either pitch , or summat they do in training , surely?

It's not bad luck, can't be, there has to be a driving factor, and we need to find it.

Bruce always had the worst injuries at Wigan, maybe its his pre match prep?

However i would say Gyan has had terrible injuries before joining us, he missed a whole season at Udinese and im suprised this is his first injury tbh.

He did, but often younger players do have issues, remember Gerrard? Was injured every week for a while, it's linked to growth and development generally.

Hope it's a one off, cos as i often mentioned i think Asamoah is a huge presence for us, as a footballer and a man.

I was thinking about the pitch, too. But if it was the SoL, wouldn't all our oppos be getting hamstrung, too?

I think its over doing it and playing people who arent fully fit or who have played too many games in a shorter period of time.

I imagine, and i'll admit it's speculating, that clubs will use a similar compound under the grass at their training ground and stadium, anything to give even a marginal advantage.

Like i say, i could be completely wrong on this, if anyone knows the ins and outs of this, feel free to shout up!
