Go daddy site down

Apparently that has brought a load of sites down with it

Fixing your dns to 8.8.8.8 fixes it

 

That dns is google dns which has updated cache so good to go

 

Can't access the site normally but only from phone or using Tor. I'm no techie, can anyone explain why this is in simple terms?

 

Go daddy is the biggest web host there is. A hacker has taken down their service hence any domain registered with them is effected. Big news over in the states

 

In simple terms the hacker has taken over the servers that's do the web translation

Not606.com = ip address

 

Still don't get why I can't get to Not606 without Tor. The IP I'm using is apparently in Lund, Sweden but my normal London one doesn't work...?

All back to normal now, that had me in a right panic and paranoia!

 

I was certain that I'd got a permanent IP ban!

I couldn't access the Site. It was telling me that my Server couldn't connect to the Web address and I was convinced that I was turfed out for good!

I'm relieved that I'm still here.

Good, they supported SOPA and the removal of websites without any due process.

 

In that case, fair enough. I am still of the opinion that 'Anonymous' are a bunch of sadcases though, desperate for some kind of rebellious image as they waste their lives away in the glow of their monitor.

Nor me! But as I couldn't get access to not606 yesterday evening I suppose it meant "Go Daddy" had gone down on someone Big on here.

 

I think they are as well, it did make me laugh when one of them was caught, he was a 40 year old living with his mum in Madrid.
