Thought I'd just come on here to say what a fantastic propsect Ben Amos is. I came here asking your opinions on him when we had just signed him, and he's managed to get into team of the week twice already, and has only conceded twice in four games - One was a deflected free kick which wrong-footed him and was harsh - and has looked solid. I doubt we'll be buying him at the end of the year, but you have an amazing talent in that lad, promising future ahead for him.

Thanks for the update, I remember saying Amos was a great talent who just needs more match experience, I'm sure he'll continue to improve throughout the season and be a big asset for your team, good luck for the rest of the season. <ok>

You can tell when he plays that he firmly believes in himself, and IMO, he's fully justified an England U21 place. I'd like to see him here permanently but it all comes down the the price at the end of the day. I think we'll be going for Mannone from Arsenal as his contract expires at the end of the year, but I prefer Amos. Great distribution, confidence, great at commanding his area and makes solid saves.

Good to hear he is doing well. Is/was there any talk of Amos signing on a permanent basis?

It's more talks about hoping he signs permanently, but it all depends on Mannone at Arsenal I think and obviously the price tag Sir Alex Ferguson puts on him. All the fans I've spoken to would love to have him permanently as he's a great reliable keeper but it's going to have to be a wait till January to see if any rumours pop up or even the end of the Season.

    <laugh> If you say so

Seen some of his posts when browsing the site and he makes pro Liverpool posts and anti United posts.
