    Morning Folks,

We are a month in, and the injuries are starting to pile up with Nunez, Norris, Brown and Green joining long term absentee Somma on the treatment table. Warnock has made his thoughts well known on the subject letting us know we have a paper thin squad. So, who's gonna join during the loan market? There could be two Jermaines going to West Yorkshire. Jenus to Elland Rd, and Beckford to Huddersfield, thoughts?

    Morning elland <ok>

Wouldn't mind seeing Jenas here to be honest as long as he puts in a good shift. As for those stats, good to see we're already creating a gap at the top of the foul play league <laugh> and who said Warnock's brand of football was ugly!

Looks like Varney needs to calm himself down though, a winger shouldn't be getting that many yellow cards in so few games. Rosco and Austin are having a fair few shots as well, can't wait until Austin starts banging them in from midfield!

    Morning everyone

Nice stats elland and I find it odd that Austin hasn't had a yellow card yet. Becchio's stats also read well

I wouldn't mind Jenas at elland road, its hard to think of many loan options to be honest

Jermaine Jenas, Dj Campbell and Tongue. I'd take all them 3 for loan signings.

Morning all - Don't want to piss on anyone's parade but I am not expecting anything outstanding in the loan market. Bates is not releasing much in the way of funds and although Jennas might sound good on paper what would he actually be playing for? I mean, everyone knows what he is about, will it be to regain fitness to make it back into his own clubs first team plans? I can't see him giving it his all. I would prefer to see a young premiership fringe player joining us out to impress his own boss and show him why he should be given a future at the club.

Morning Monkeys - Hearing from lots of sources that the takeover group have now switched their attentions to Portsmouth - any of you heard anything (not a wind up this time either)

If I was them, that's the kind of rumour I'd use to lever Bates. Thing is, I don't think I'd have picked a League 1 club. More difficult to believe.

Interesting comment at the bottom of the article, TC <yikes> .....

$20m will only scratch the surface. There's $13m to pay off the players. Say another $10m to pay off Chanrai, another $24m to pay off CVA1 to avoid a points deduction and keep L1 status. That's before they start any investment or running costs.

Sounds like another mate of Chanrai's to me.

iT'S NOT $24m to pay off their cva - its £1M. Also the £8.8M players payoff is to be paid off over 4 years!!

I don't pretend to know what Pompey's debts are, but R5L is carrying the story & saying their debt is in excess of £60m. Do the math!
