No. Chester, Gerrard and Ayala can all fight for a first team place so no-ones place is safe. We could bring in Delaney who can cover across the whole defence as back-up and send Cooper out on loan with a 24 hour recall clause.
If it is Danny Rose that should be good, from what little of him I have seen (which is pretty much just in the Arsenal match) he looked quite promising.
Delaney just signed a new Ipswich deal until the end of 2013, with a one year automatic extension trigger to 2014, he won't be going anywhere.
Not sure by Rose, I've barely seen him play but he's been on loan at Bristol city for the season, he hasn't played since Christmas but I hadn't even realised he was there.
He got injured just before Christmas and returned to Spurs for treatment, I don't know if he even went back(he was supposed to return at the end of January, but then it was announced he'd be out for at least another two weeks and may even need surgery).
Wow, one bad game and you don't want him any more? How do you know Ayala wouldn't have played like that at least once if he'd played 5 times as many games for us?
To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if Cooper decided to pack his bags and go, but I really hope it doesn't happen. I want him to succeed more than any of the other kids who've come through our youth system so far.
