    I pay more attention too British politics than American, but from seeing a few U.S. elections, I would say that Obama will win and Romney will not be heard of again

    When do Uruguay play again?Is it on tuesday?

    Conman, I hope that Northern Ireland qualify for the world cup, I think you can.Portugal are **** in qualifiers.

    It would be funny to not see them at a major tournament for once <laugh>.

    I doubt we will get to WC2014. It may be too soon for us. I'd love us to, though. On our day we could beat anyone, but too often we're just terrible.

    Euro 2016 is doable I reckon, assuming we haven't had all our players stolen by the Republic.

    We beat England a year before that too. Under Lawrie Sanchez, we were immense. But thanks to Nigel Worthington, our golden generation has went to waste and we've lost a bunch of talented youngsters to the Republic.

    I'd be delighted if we can beat Portugal at home though.

    You didn't the easiest group draw either (England did). More realistic would be a third place battle with Israel.

    On paper, we should beat them to 3rd. That's our aim. We're lacking in some major areas though, especially up front.

    This is my first season of properly following NFL, no team yet but I'm keeping an eye on Detroit. They won in the last 15 seconds of their game v St Louis.

    I don't see there is a problem discussing American politics...... How about giving it a go. Mind you the minute it turns towards british politics it will be closed down. Why dont a couple of you act as prefects to keep it on line. If you need help call on us.
