Come and visit mate (though we only have 1 nightclub now as the other one was shut down due to untold violence). But we have got a new 'Harvester' so it ain't all bad (free salad with every meal :) )

France and in particular Paris is an absolute ****hole. Ive been told southern france is very different but theres no way Id go back again.

Italy was amazing, I was playing football with the local hooligans and I fouled a the leader who had just released from prison and was expecting some hassle but he just got up smiling. Used some of the same places as the Camorra (Napoli Mafia) and didnt even have problems with them.

Paris is OK in August, cos they all **** off on holiday and leave the place to those of us that can appreciate it.

Some places just have a bad vibe on them especially organised crime dominated towns. Salemi in Sicily seemed very "wrong" to me last year. The Mayor who is a right dodgy bastard (Vittorio Sgarbi) has put houses that are abandoned since the Belice earthquake on sale for 1 Euro. Even at that price I wouldn't.

Just Googled Salemi and the first result is that the Town Council has been "dissolved for Mafia" in April this year. There you go... http://www.liberainformazione.org/news.php?newsid=17306

I found it to be really disgustingly dirty and the people are the rudest Ive ever experienced anywhere. Contrast that with the positive opinion Ive had with every other nationality Ive met.

In Napoli, they bought lots of traffic lights but didnt buy the inner workings, the council pocketed the money for themselves.

Nice people but probably the most corrupt and least reliable place in Europe. Driving anywhere is certainly an experience. Riding a bike is a brown pants experience, the rule is whoever gets there 1st has right of way.

You want to try driving in China. They have no concept of safety and drive on whichever side of the road they feel like. I walked out of a shop and some **** nearly knocked me over because he was driving on the ****ing pavement!!!

Napoli always had a very good vibe although after the earthquake understandably some people were very desperate and street robbery went up. Calabria and Province of Reggio Calabria are the heaviest in Italy in my experience. Sicily is much easier despite its reputation.

Nearly everyone on here seems to dislike the French! Personally, I've never had a problem with any I've met. Even went out with one once!

    Must be the Anglo/French rivalry.
