Are we allowed to discuss the US 2012 election on here?

Well apparently politics is a taboo subject on here, but I doubt anyone will be offended by that conversation.

Why are we not allowed to discuss politics? I've never understood that.

I dunno, maybe the mods are worried someone will get carried away and say something racist.

Anyway, the US election looks interesting. I think Obama will edge it, but it looks worryingly tight.

He's not making it easy on himself unfortunately. But luckily I can't see Romney pulling enough votes

This presedential race is possibly the most stupid one I can remember. No one deserves to win, but I hope to god Obama comes out on top purely because Romney seems more interested in slagging off the Obama reign than actually pushing his own ideas.

Romney is such a moron, a moronic mormon.

He still thinks that Russia is their enemy and he wants to invade Iran <doh>.

This is interesting. Nate Silver is basically a statistician and he correctly predicted the winner of 49 of the 50 states in the 2008 election. He uses poll data and stuff to calculate the probability of each outcome. He gives Obama a 79.8% chance of winning.

Because Politics are so mind numbingly boring it would be better to have one of gomarchingin threads than put up with that.

Good link that, Joe. It looks as though the Republicans support has nose dived since Dirty Harry's outburst.

North Carolina looks like being the state that holds the key. If Obama wins that, Elder Milt's history.
