So we beat Wigan, a team in the bottom 3, us at home, what’s all this OTT reaction about, well here are my reasons.

After the run we have had we deserve a weekend of pleasure and happiness.

A loss could have been fatal.

Gyans reaction to his goal and injury, told me he is a winner and cares.

The imeadiate response to going a goal down.

Words I can use about my team yesterday that have been missing of late, desire, character, determination, will to win, never say die, hunger, commitment, fight.

Mig, last weeks horror show redeemed.

Anton, on to give a performance.

    Cattermole, leader.

Colback, became a first team player.

Henderson, no longer a boy, became a man.

    Steed, fight, craft.

Muntari, still doubts but some eased.

    Sess,welcome to Sunderland.

Bruce, jury still out but a decent man who showed he cares and that his players are with him, deserves his good weekend.

The fans, us, 39,650 turned up on a day they could have been forgiven for staying away but when needed they turned up and made a noise, we deserve our weekend.

Now there are those who will say, ffs, get a grip. We still have to many injuries, we cant forget the bad run, one swallow.
I agree with all that but for the remainder of this weekend please forgive me for leaving all that for next week.

I just want to be happy, hope that’s OK.

Would have been better if we had gone above the barcodes just to round it off nicely syd, but it's a much better place to be looking at the league this morning than last Sunday what with the bottom four bar Wolves losing taking a lot of the heat off the teams like us who were struggling.
More than happy with the performance even with the injuries we sustained on the pitch and barring Welbecks breakdown nothing SB or his coaches could do about them just bad luck.
I'm not too bothered who they are or how we beat them all that matters is the 3 points and the fact you got the score totally wrong 3-0 was always a stretch mate.

    <cheers>

When they scored first my heart sank and I felt like going home, later when we came back to win my mate beside me reminded me and said pleased you did not leave. Perhaps I have to say that every game now at some point. Also that I changed my (un)luckly shirt for a different one today. I know that superstition is silly, but in the long ago days when I used to play I would have the same thing for lunch and always put my socks and boots on in a certain order and I had a pair of lucky tie-ups for years.
