Nope, sensible mods would take action at the start, not allow the bickering and personal insults to go on for weeks and weeks. Acting like a mod? You are mistaken there but when people bring up dead kids claiming it to be "banter" then do forgive me for being angry at that.
1) they ban people for making jokes about john lennon and pointing out certain things about heysel - then ban them and say it was because they mentioned Hillsborough even when they didn't. 2) Making jokes to posters who say they lost a baby and then saying it's their fault for saying it in the first place is completely unacceptable and as disgusting as any jokes about disasters. 3) Sorry to hear about your loss UIR - my condolences. 4) If a Manchester United forum mod wants to delete this in order to keep the peace then please do
"at the start," would you like to point out a point when the personal insults started flowing? It's easy to point out things you think people should have done, but in reality you have no clue of the consequences of these actions. We aim to keep things in check, ban wums etc... I'm not a ****ing babysitter, if members want to throw insults at each other's clubs, on that particular thread, then fine - but you get what you dish out, so stop acting like a victim when in most cases you dish out as good as you get. As for the recent incident, I have already taken action. The Thread will be re-opened, and I shouldn't have to explain my decision to close it, but if I left it open, there would only be more bans.
Closing it for at least a day is the correct thing to do Alan. I don't doubt the LFC mods are looking at things behind the scenes to stop this sort of ****. It's a disgrace but it SKD , Ben Arfa etc not the mods
Im glad he closed it for the time being. I also hope those who have no idea what the line is, even if some of us often get very close to it, get banned from the entire site. Even reported to their ISP if they were to return and continue it.

It will open again dude. there should be some rule about old users returning under another name though. If you're banned then you're banned. Some of the things on there today have not been acceptable and '**** off to your own board' isn't an acceptable answer
