    Right... seriously guys, spill the nazi jokes in a different thread. Can't have them in my threads at work, I'll be flagged instantly with those names.

    Back on topic: It seems to be that Van Gaal permanently removed Stekelenburg from the #1 and put him down not one but two spots in the pecking order. Michel Vorm was seen last night prepping with Krul, Stekelenburg was not on the bench.

    Well, Van Gaal is a narcistic, irrational and sociopathic character, that much is established over here. But like I said in my first post, he overhauled the team. Threw out Nigel de Jong, Gregory van der Wiel, Rafael van der Vaart and now Stekelenburg. But remarkably he is very open to the press about it. Which is very much unlike him. Over the past 10-15 years he was always extremely hostile to journalists. He still has his antics but he has become media friendly for some reason. And many journalists are cautious and suspicious of his behaviour as of late. For example, in a press conference for the match against Belgium, Van Gaal gave away the first eleven line up, the substitutions in detail and his tactical plan. The game was lost 4-2... It was unprecedented for a Dutch National team manager to do something like that.

    Krul has just left the Dutch team and won't play against Hungary tuesday, he's injured his elbow.

    I can live with Krul as our no1 (I'm Dutch too like Cove) but Tim has obviously some weakenesses to work out (he missed some high balls against Turkey and his long shots land more often in the crowd than on the pitch :) ).

    If I had to chose between Stekelenburg and Krul, I'd still go with Stekelenburg just for the experience he has. Krul might have EPL experience but Stekelenburg went to the Euro 2008 and 2012 + WC of 2006 and 2010. Though a bit sluggish compared to Krul, he has better area of command and communication, but again that's an experience wise skill.

    Where abouts in Holland are you from? (or more importantly, who, if we get through, are you hoping Newcastle play could play in the next round of the Europa League)?

    Its funny, last season Krul's command of the area was brilliant and I felt confident that any time he came for a ball he was going to get it...Seemed very uncharacteristic of him flapping so much in that first half!

    "My" club (Feyenoord - Rotterdam) just been kicked out of the tournament and the other two Dutch clubs left (PSV + Twente) to be honest i don't care if they'll reach the next stage or not. :)

    @Albert's CS, thnx.
