I hate to agree with you on this but... Alonso's really on it this year and I think it will be his.

Doubt it since Renault are ****e at making reliable components they will screw up by giving him another defective alternator down the line again. It's over man this is the same ****e that went through in 2009, decent points but car breaks down even before the finish.

Seb's out, game over he had his shot but it seems the FIA and Renault want to make sure of stopping that. Seb used to be given the benefit of the the doubt that what he did was by "mistake" but now it seems all sides want to kick him while he is down.

Fuel pick-up issue stopped Ricciardo coming out of the final corner to get another point! That was my only consolation when Webber conked out. :emoticon-0106-cryin

Kobayashi outqualifies his team-mate after a poor practice, then gets stuck on a poor strategy having lost touch with Perez due to Vergne's crash disabling DRS... he was lucky to finish 9th.

Congratulations to Hamilton and Perez, well done Alonso.

Webber and Button must now be mathematically be out of the running.

Actually, I think this is more accurate. He has achieved the consistency that Lewis wanted to have. Not really Lewis's fault that he hasn't though.

Mathematically? I think you mean realistically. Webber's only 47 points behind Alonso and Button is 78 behind...I think.

Mathematically and realistically. Compared to their team-mates, anyway.

The thing that pisses me off is of the five defective ones they've given Vettel three of them, and of the two which have gone mid race he's had two of them. They supply eight drivers, they should spread the pain a little more evenly.

This. Alonso's been the best driver this year but Hamilton's been very good too. If he has the car under him, which it looks like he might, he's capable of winning it, he only has to take just over five points per race more than Alonso. The same can be said of Vettel and Raikkonen except they don't have the car right now. The points gap jut means Alonso can drive a little more conservatively, the others must take risks.

Actually, is it possible that the Red Bull set-up puts extra strain on the alternator?

Grosjean had an alternator failure in Valencia while running second. Webber had one go in practice that weekend as well. Williams and Caterham have been fine.

Could be, as Red Bull are no strangers to pushing the boundaries, remember the tyre camber issue in Spa 2011

Has anyone else noticed that the three drivers Grosjean took out at Spa...happened to be the ones that got on the podium here?

Only if it's packaged so tightly they can't cool it adequately. I think Renault held their hands up to it in Valencia though. Singapore's usually baking hot as well isn't it? :(

Mostly happens to Seb though, engines and alternators. Might have to do that Seb is quicker than most?

Don't care now the WDC can shuve the title up his arse now for all I care.

Game over people, the RB8 is ****, the engine is ****, Newey is **** and the FIA are ****. It will go down against Lewis and Alonso now as they have far better cars than what Seb has got.

Sorry fellow Seb fans, but it's game over! Any other side are just trying to keep your hopes up just to see us suffer for a bit longer.

Very likely as you only have to look at 09 + 10 + 12 to see his failures of pushing the car to the limit.
