It's probably worth a bit of dosh Rogue. I've still got loads of old vinyl, even started buying it again it sounds better. I mean listenng to She's lost control on CD or MP3 is just not the same is it?
there are certain things that just disappoint when heard on cd..I know that vinyl has a better audio range, but also , sometimes theyve just made a ****ty job of converting it. Im a bit of a believer in things being listened to on the sort of stuff they were designed for at the time ; Im sure that ( " modern " ) music made for mp3s sounds fine on mp3s ? I like a lot of old blues music as well - john lee hooker , howling wolf etc - and it sounds best on an old , valve powered dancette type turntable I picked up a good few years ago....`cause thats what those recordings were designed for. same with everything else really I reckon.
