I've been renovating my new house for the last 3-4 months. You have my sympathies as the hot days are not very fun... Neither are the wet and windy days when you are meant to be re-slating the roof though!

    No football?

Spartans made the first step on another glorious FA Cup run by beating Garforth Town 1-0 at Croft Park, goalscorer being ex-Toon lad Phil Airey with Centurian Robbie Dale getting the assist.

I'm becoming a fan of Tommy Cassidy, though Steve Cuggy was hardly a difficult act to follow. He's very passionate and his winding up of the linesman is always amusing. <ok>

Sympathise with you, our house is very old, it's over a hundred years old, seems like there's always something needing replaced/repaired, I often think about moving to a new build, but they're so small, not sure I'd like it.

The thought of having to clear my loft soon puts me off moving! <yikes>

You might find letters/documents from the original owner that could be worth a fortune.
