So what does Roy do on Tuesday. Same side or change it around? Ukraine will be a lot tougher!

Or you could watch Portsmouth get hammered by Crawley, I'm sure you'd enjoy that.

I'd rather watch paint dry. I had 25 years of watching F1 before I realised it was the reason I was falling asleep on a Sunday afternoon. Motorbike racing is proper racing. You don't a switch which gives you an additional 40bhp for ten seconds or some twatty thing like that. You get two wheels per machine, 20 bikes, each with upto 250bhp, and lots of overtaking per lap. Proper racing.

I agree that today's racing is a bit artificial, compared to the mid-90s anyway. Vettel's penalty today made me realise that it's becoming too sane. That's why I supplement my love of F1 with other racing like Le Mans, MotoGP, BTCC, IndyCars and then I do a bit of kart racing myself.

Anyways, back on topic, there's been a couple of dropouts for NI apparently.

It's got a bipolar personality, it's either very good or very bad.

Shame about Britain's own Dan Wheldon dying in a horrible crash last year. He's one of the ones in my signature.

Yeah it was Las Vegas. Everything just conspired horribly wrong in that crash, I don't think I ever have, or indeed ever will, see another crash like it.

Yeah, they do race on very dangerous circuits in the US.

I saw a road race the other day and it was full of bumps and potholes, crazy.

Was that in the IndyCars? May have been the street race they have in Baltimore.

We should probably move this to O/T before we get bitched at :p

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/2012/09/phil_mcnulty_3.html

Phil McNulty is very complimentary about England in his blog. It's a bit premature though seeing how dreadful Moldova were. No word of a lie, there are better teams in the conference. He talks about Cleverly's passing and movement, but for most of the game he had no defenders within about 20 yards of him. Under no pressure whatsoever, any half decent footballer should be able to fashion something. the real test is when defenders know what they're doing and rush to close attackers down. Ukraine will do that and provide a sterner test that we can use to judge our progress.

I'm also not sure why two fabulous young players like James Ward-Prowse and Nick Powell are representing the U19s when the senior team and the U21s were both playing very winnable matches. Both players are likely to be household names by 2014. It would be useful to get them both involved befor we start our final preparations. Befor some smartarse says they're not ready, the teams in our group are no better than what they see day to day in the league. They played better teams than San Marino when they kicked a ball around in the park.

However poor Moldova are, we got five past them without our top scorer and best player. Same with Sweden, a decent team and without Rooney we still managed to score three. Not just a one man team, and we're not conceding much either.

On an International note, Tadanari has apparently returned from a trip to Nice with a broken arm. Plaster cast.
