Not really we were owned by a very wealthy person who passed down money , I can not say for this season but last year every month our bills were paid and we started again with 0.00 , that £30 Million I do know is nothing to do with money from Sky , sponsorship of future TV revenue .
That's the very point I'm making, lad. When a Club is being run in a non self-sufficient manner, there's always a chance the Sugar-Daddy could pull the plug and everything going tits up. We're in that scenario ourselves but reassuringly, the owners come across as very decent and solid businessmen. Still, when you're relying on the deep pockets of your owner, its never 100% solid no matter what the uber-optimist brigade say.
I think not. Our owners made it clear that relegation, which was almost expected towards the end of last season, would have been a blip rather than a disaster. As others have said, I think you should look to your own!
Our sugar daddy passed away so little chance of him turning his back on us , written into his will or so legend has it he will provide us with a stable platform on our promotion to the Premiership , also we will never be sold to somebody , company that will break up SFC ie training ground , stadium etc etc . I will be honest and the money we have spent I was disappointed that we did not spend more .
I live to serve. Although the OP is better than most analyses, I firmly believe that TF/Mittals/Beard are building a completely different and new type of business model, and it's a waste of time comparing us to other clubs, or indeed looking at this as if QPR is a stand alone entity - its part of a family of brands on an interesting journey.
With the TV money coming in next year, the crowd money is not so important. We should stay up now and Saints are odds on with some bookies for going down even after spending over £20m. Now that is a gamble. Weve spent less money on 12 players than you have on 2, of course the wages are going to increase but we got rid of 15 players so the have to be replaced. As of the last week of the window, our wage bill was lower than last season.
Sorry mate, I don't have any special insight or knowledge, just making some assumptions, and looking at what TF has done with his other businesses. If we are doing things in the old way, i.e. rich owners playing for a bit, then I fear we will be, sooner or later, comprehensively ****ed because it's not sustainable, even with the Sky cash.
