Well after 35 years of claiming to absolutely hate reggae music (mainly because all I'd ever heard was Bob Bloody marley) I have recently embraced it and after managing to get my hands on an incredible Trojan Records box set I've been listening to very little else the past couple of weeks or so.

This is one of my favourites at the moment, first time I heard it it cracked me right up <laugh>

Went Reading Festival and seen them (messed my ankle whilst watching them), they were brilliant not as good as I seen them at Brixton though last year.

Somebody once descibed it a cannibalised real music. A touch harsh but I have found some of the later stuff from guys like Miles Davis, Chick Corea et al, so avant garde that they can only be playing for themselves.
Buddy Rich, great drummer, conceited knob as a human being unfortunately. My favourite version of Birdland is by Weather Report with the late but marvellous Jaco Pastorious.
By the way, I have albums by Grandmaster Flash, Pixies as well as jazz greats so music can transcend the years.
As long as its good, I like it.

And very good at the piano too! I first remember him playing with or for Nat King Cole which was strange as NKC was an accomplished player himself.
    Classically trained of course.

The Toy Dolls played it better, more in the spirit of the music...

Welly - they are undoubledly very talented, but when that had finished, I clicked on "I got asthma" and I can't help feeling that the ending was a step too far! Or am I being oversensitive?

Can't answer your question, Dave, my 13 yr old son suffers from asthma, I think he'd be cool about the song, plenty of things in life more offensive than that! <ok>

We have all the time in the World by Rumer. Beautifully singing one of the great movie songs.

Good singer, you'll have watched her on 'Daryl's House' no doubt.

This is still my favourite pick from that show:

I was shocked how much I enjoyed Cee Lo Green. Rumer was a knockout. My favourite is the T Bone tribute. Their version of The Isleys Caravan of Love is brilliant and one of the greats The Weight is done superbly.
