Raheem Sterling is a bright prospect, without a doubt, but to suggest he's better than Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is madness. On Sunday, Sterling played well, Chamberlain played poorly by his standards. And yet they're still pretty even statistically. When Sterling has started more than 1 game, then it's wise to compare them. Until then, there's no real point.
Sterling will end twice the player Ox becomes. he's not far off him now and he's only 17! He's not even finished growing or filling out yet! He could become one of England's best players in the future if he keeps his attitude in check, stays grounded and keeps working hard.
I think we can all agree that if they both fulfil the potential they hold then under the right managers they will be lethal for club and country.
I agree. its not about comparisons, both should turn out to be great players as long as they are managed well!
Um I posted the stats above... but if that's your interpretation... I'd like to see them both playing for England one day. Could be lethal. Also, this is why he's not with the U-21s then http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/boss-we-must-nurture-raheem
Just interesting that you called them 'equal' statistically, not a major problem! I'm one of the people saying he's going to be a class act!
Sorry mate, my anger is directed at ToeLa65, who is clearly a tw@, not you, as you're clearly not a tw@
I'm a twat for having an opinion which I believe will come true. I really believe that Sterling will become one of the best players in the league and will be much better than Ox. Sorry if that upsets you but thats the way I see it. Don't cry like a butt hurt little giel because someone disagrees with you and points it out.
The lad Sterling has only just appeared on the scene, lets not jump the gun here he has a long way to go.
