Massa outqualifies Alonso, Narain outqualifies Pedro... perhaps my hangover is worse than I thought and I'm hallucinating.
I had the same problem at Spa, Jenson was acting like Seb by running away from the field in his car and Seb was acting like Lewis by carving through the pack. Grosjean was the wake up call as he was still the same old self!
Race results are up. If my memory serves me right, the previous best score in a sweeps round was 88. Well that was beaten today by AbsolutelyGlorious with Hamilton on 89! But then....genji lurched out of the darkness with Kovalainen to rob Abs of that honour and take the first perfect 90 of the season!!!!
The scoring is on post #71 As for overall standings, I'm still waiting for genji to update them. He's much better at doing up those tables than I ever will be
Thanks, RR. That's a massive score from Genji isn't it! One wonders if he knows, since he appears to be absent: his other game, "+/-" has not been updated either! Most uncharacteristic.
Unofficial results! I hand-copied the scores after Belgium into an OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet, added the scores from Italy, and arranged them (by hand because I can't program for ****) into order. There will almost certainly be errors! please log in to view this image Big jumps for AG, RR and GJ.
I've done every race so far and i'm not even at 400 Nearly 100 behind the next guy. I'll be last for two years running
Excellent work, Tom! Thanks.- - -o0o- - - For future reference when doing this in a spreadsheet. Do not worry, the following is far simpler than it looks: Assuming your spreadsheet used four columns 'a,b,c,d' with the top left cell being 'A1', go to the first cell where you would like to see a total (in this case 'D2' â which is column D, row 2), and type the following: =b2+c2 You will see the answer appear in D2. (note: If you have not yet entered numbers into B2 and C2, D2 will either show '0' or 'error', according to the settings of your spreadsheet; but as soon as you make the relevant entries, the result will be calculated and seen in D2). To save time and effort⦠Now copy the contents of D2 (which shows the result of the formula you typed, but still contains the formula '=b2+c2') and paste it into D3. The result of b3+c3 will now appear in D3 in the same manner as above!* *It gets better⦠Instead of just pasting the contents of D2 (which includes its formula) to D3, select all of the cells where you would like similar totals to appear (for instance, all of the cells in column D). Now Paste. The formula contained in D2 will now be pasted to every cell you selected, but will automatically be adjusted to relate to its own row. Thus, each cell in column D will show the answers for corresponding entries in columns B and C**. **Better still, the list of names in column A can be written in any order and then 'sorted' afterwards. For fun, go to column A and deliberately enter the list of players in random order, regardless of how well or badly they are doing. In column B and C, enter the relevant scores for each player. When all of the players and their scores have been entered, you will be able to sort the whole lot according to their totals in column D in this manner: Highlight a box containing every player, score and total, beginning from the totals column: For instance, go to the top or bottom cell of the answers (column D); and click and hold down mouse button whilst dragging across to the opposite corner to include every player in column A. Now 'Sort'* the whole matrix in descending order, which will then show the highest total, all relevant scores and the player's name, in the top row of this box, underneath which will be the next highest player, and so on, to the lowest scoring player who will be in the bottom row. *In Microsoft Excel, there is an icon called 'Sort Descending' in the standard toolbar. The icon has the letter 'Z' above the letter 'A' and a downward pointing arrow. Just click on it to sort the whole selection instantly. If not using Excel, there will be still be an option to sort information in the same manner, since this function is fundamental to all spreadsheets.
Genji said he would be absent this past weekend but I don't know when he's coming back, so that's why I opted to do the scoring Thanks very much tomtom94, rep
Cheers! The more you know and all that. I tried doing an "IF X<Y" formula to sort them all... yeah. I literally JUST found the Sort Descending function in Calc, apparently I had no patience to find it last night I would rep you some more but apparently I have been stalking you too much and must rep other people first.
