Greatest ever 2nd hit.. What bands and songs can you name since the beginning of the 80's that are considered to be one hit wonders yet have another song that could be as good if not better as the song their known for?? Alphaville- Forever young. (known for Big in Japan)
Funnily enough, Forever Young is the only Alphaville song I knew so I'm surprised that it the lesser known hit...
Did they have any other songs? Is it sad how i can still remember the dance to it? Same as the Macarena, Black Lace- Superman, Agadoo and all. In fact just go to Pozition on saturday night and they'll play them all in the cheesy music room.
Ah right, I've misinterpreted the thread. Silly me. I thought we were just listing our all time favourite one-hit-wonders. Oops. In that case, Aqua. 'Barbie Girl' of course being their big 'un, but they released a serious song not long after on the soundtrack to a film. I'm not saying it was good, but it was a proper song at least. Witness; Sadly, it didn't manage to break away from the damage done by the previous 'songs'. Bit of a pop profile for you there, courtesy of PH!.
PS - That singer from Aqua once got her babylons out in a lad's mag in the 90s. I remember it being a defining moment in my development during those hormonal years.
Falco looks **** hot in this promotional video. Synthetic leather suit, finised with brown tint ray bans and white shoes. Class Alles klar, Herr Kommissar
I should say my Dad loved this band !!! I absolutely hate the band as the "Perfect" song use to wind me up soooo much
Don't Look Back In Anger, Lyla, Live Forever, What's The Story Morning Glory...? I wouldn't say Oasis are a one hit wonder band. No way.
They weren't one hit wonders, that wasn't even their biggest hit, Boxerbeat went to No.3. The drummer Sean is an old mate of mine, he shared a house with Stu Matthewman, who left Hull to form Sade.

If some said Alphaville to me, I'd think of Big in Japan. Not heard of Forever Young. Apparently Big in Japan was their biggest hit.
Toploader will forever be associated with 'Dancing in the Moonlight' but a tune they released called 'Achilles Heel' was much lesser known but brilliant. Bit confused, does this count?
baby it's you promises didn't think a lot of the song but that girl had one hell of a rack on her. She'd be bruising her knee caps nowadays http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqM3P7LziIc There you go Dean old son going good now
In Dean24s head Oasis are ****! Wonderwall is okay and the theme from the Royal family but that's it, I'm glad they broke up.
