So those of you that have known me for a long time on other forums know that I've been predicting Derek Asamoah to be the next big thing for close to 10 years now. Couldn't believe when I found out he is now 31.

I have decided that due to unforeseen circumstances he may not become the world breaker he was definately destined to become.

So this weekend I will scour team sheets of mediocre British lower league teams for a lad whose name sounds like a footballers name. Must be young, foreign, unknown, and kinda cool sounding name.

I will let you know who the new destined to be great player is. In the meantime.... I think Asamoah could still become a world-conquring manager in a few years time.

  17. Afternoon fella's, hope you didn't miss me too much this week...? (queue the 'have you not been here' and 'didn't know you had been away' gags)

So, since the reception where I was staying was ****ter than having nuns in a whore house, what is the news in the land of football...? Has there been a Rodgers interview or something...? I can't it if there was

A vigil will take place in Liverpool city centre this week to mark the release of a report on the Hillsborough disaster and its aftermath.

The Hillsborough Independent Panel is set to release its long-awaited report on Wednesday lunchtime.
To mark this, a vigil will be staged at St George's Plateau near Lime Street station to allow the city to support the victims' families at a very difficult time.
The vigil has been organised with the support of representatives of the various Hillsborough groups following meetings with Mayor Joe Anderson.
He said: "This is a day the Hillsborough families and the city has waited 23 years for, and it is going to be an extremely emotional and traumatic occasion.
"The people of Liverpool need to show our full support to the families and let them know that we are with them at this very difficult time.
"All people have wanted was that the truth be known and for justice for the deceased. We hope the panel's findings will finally reveal what actually happened on that dreadful day.
"The whole city has been affected for 23 years by this disaster. Everyone in Liverpool knows someone who was touched by the tragedy.
"People will want to not only remember the 96 who lost their lives but also, having waited so long, to share their sadness together as a city and support each other through this emotional time."
The vigil itself will start at 6pm but the public are encouraged to arrive from an hour beforehand.
    Vigil schedule:
5-6pm: Hour of reflection on the plateau at St George's Hall with both live and recorded music. There will be two large screens on the plateau on which all performances will be shown.
6-7pm: Vigil featuring speeches, music and prayer from the steps of the plateau. The public should note that the roads around this area will be closed from 4pm including London Road, Lime Street and St John's Lane. Please leave plenty of time for travelling.
For those who can't be at the vigil in person, LFC TV will broadcast proceedings live, with a free simulcast on the official Liverpool website. Earlier in the day the club's channel and website will also broadcast live coverage of any ministerial statements from Westminster as well as the panel's press conference from Liverpool Cathedral.
Further information about events on Wednesday, September 12, including more detail about LFC TV's planned coverage, will be announced in due course.
