Such a weird decision and move in my opinion. Personally I don't see the point in loaning him out to a club like this, it won't help him improve nor will it boost his dented reputation. I'd rather have sold him for whatever we could've got (I'm damn sure at least one team would pay a couple mill!) and just cut our losses. Loaning him out to, with all respect, mediocre clubs is of no real benefit.
As hbic says too, he's looking for Anzhi, Shaktar, Zenit, or any other moneybag Russian outfit to take him. Other clubs were interested him, but I'll bet none had any money. He's got half a season to impress someone.
Shakhtar can't afford him, they blew all their money on a new defence. Wait, wait...sorry, got real life and FM12 mixed up again. They're still Ukrainian, though.
If I was Levy, I'd pay them to keep the twat. In the old days, they used to chant "what a waste of money" at expensive players who were under performing. That doesn't even begin to sum up how I feel about that waste of usable space on the face of our planet!..
Can't say I'm familiar with Shaktar's last financial report, and well done on them being Ukrainian, not that it was a test. Just generalising about him being more on the radar of teams in that part of Europe, that in itself being typically David Bentley.
