Just wondering if the international break comes at a very good time for us. I think we possibly benefit from not having too many internationals (is it just our African contingent and Hoilett?? Has Park stepped down from the National Team). Talk about the team needing time to gel coupled with the fact that our next 2 games are against teams that will be descimated by call ups. Ale gets closer to fitness and the new guys (Granero, etc) get some squad training time. Seems like it might at least improve the general play if not the results against two difficult sides.
I hope it helps Matt, it would be nice for us to start putting in some good performances. If every player could perform at their best we will be a force to be reckoned with. We'll certainly be a match for anyone. I hope the Chelsea superstars pick up a few injuries on their travels.
Spot on. The best way to gel is to play tough competitive games and get to know how each player performs under pressure. I really can't see this break helping us at all.
