Friday, 7 September 2012 NEW McCOIST BLAST AT RANGERS HATERS (Bigots you mean surely?) ALISTAIR McCOIST has once again proven that he is the true blue voice of Rangers. The Rangers manager has spoken out against the sinister and insidious whispering campaign throughout Scottish football â and on the sports desks of certain Scottish newspapers â which is targeting players who sign for Rangers. (You just know this is going to be a good one) Plus those who have chosen not to walk out on the club in its hour of need. Lee Wallace falls into that category and there were some voices raised in surprise when the left back refused to join the stampede of stars, which included Stevie Naismith and Kyle Lafferty, out of the Ibrox door as soon as the SPL door slammed shut in Rangers faces. (I would explain but you obviously have no intention of attempting to accept the truth) Now the anti Rangers brigade in the press and at other clubs have swung into full ranting after a number of other SPL stars decided to quit their also ran top flight outfits for the chance to play for Rangers. (Anti Rangers Brigade = Everyone) Ian Black got pelters and then, more recently David Templeton, who left Hearts, was put in the firing line for leaving tiny Tynecastle and moving to impressive Ibrox. (Ian Black gets pelters because he always has done simply because heâs a snidey wee thug, Templeton has as far as I am aware only been slated by Hearts for having a bad attitude, I donât recall any Celtic fans, or fans of any other club having a dig at him) In fact the whole simmering resentment and hatred of Rangers really exploded when Templeton signed on for Rangers. With even Hearts making the sort of snide comments we have come to expect to seep like sewerage from Tynecastle under the Vladimir Romanov regime. And that despite the fact the £800,000 Rangers handed over to Romanov will keep his wee club tottering on for another season. In fact, it may be the difference between Hearts players getting their wages, either on time, or at all, in the coming months. (Are Hearts not entitled to criticise one of their players for walking out on them, and having a bad attitude or is it only when a Rangers player leaves that he should be criticised, like Rangers did with Naismith, Whittaker, and MacGregor et al) Therefore the fact of the matter is quite simply that Rangers, as they have done for years, continue to subsidise the Scottish Premier League also rans, despite the blind bigoted hatred from so many of those clubsâ supporters which led to them refusing to accept Rangers into their shady wee organisation. (Here we go, âBigotryâ a la Chuck Green) And as sure as eggs are eggs and night follows day, hard on the heels of the Hearts sniping came a snide column from Scotland of Sundayâs Republic of Ireland born sports writer Tom English, sneering at Templeton for moving from Hearts to Rangers. (Bloody foreign upstart journalists eh? ) It is what we have come to accept from Tom English in the last few months since he became what many folk perceive to be Odious Creepâs mainstream mouthpiece. (So Tom English is now in thrall of Graeme Spiers? Thatâs a new one) Which is a shame, for Tom English is capable of exquisite writing and it was his ability to turn a phrase which branded the Irish-fest which swamps Parkhead when Celtic play at home as Paddywackery. (So in other words, as long as Celtic are the focus of his criticism then heâs a good guy, if he criticises anyone at Rangers heâs a ****?) But in recent weeks it has seemed to some I have spoken to as though English is taking the opportunity to kick Rangers when they are down. (Bingo) Certainly he and his increasingly marginalised and in-the-dark Odious Creep, give that impression in some of their Twitter exchanges. Of course appearances can be deceptive, but that is how it looks. Hearts, Tom Englishâs column, plus the tone of many questions directed at Alistair McCoist at press conferences have all added up and led to the Rangers manager querying the motives behind these attacks and attempts to set an anti Rangers agenda. There is no doubt in my mind, after reading McCoistâs words carefully and knowing the man, he would not have gone down this road lightly. (Like when he asked for âThese people to be namedâ) It is only because of the overwhelming evidence which has built in recent weeks that Alistair McCoist has spoken out, questioning just what it is which lies behind these insidious attacks on Rangers, aimed at any player who has decided to sign on at Ibrox. (Yes because everyone who does not like Rangers and what they have done is a bigot, there is overwhelming evidence for that..if you are deranged) There are plenty of Rangers haters out there who are now angry at how well Rangers and Rangers supporters are coping with such reduced status. (How do you know this?) It appears to me Alistair McCoist is well aware of this and will not tolerate the sick, snide sniping. (Oh itâs âSickâ now too? How do you figure that or are you out of clichés?) Whether it comes from wee clubs, subsidised by Rangers money, newspaper columnists or reporters asking smart alec questions at press conferences. (Smart Alec questions? What the ****?) My guess is that we have not heard the last of this from the man who speaks for Rangers, manager Alistair McCoist. (Iâm ****ting it here) ...... AND.... AS was the case a week ago, there will be no new blog on Saturday or Sunday. But LeggoLand will be back with a bang on Monday morning. (Weekend binge drinking spree?) If, as my old Scots Presbyterian Granny used to say, Iâm spared. (and so are we from having to read your pish)
Kylie as a maid on the Titanic please log in to view this image I said I wasn't gonna read anymore Rangers blogs after yesterday but I saw an excerpt from McMurdo's latest on Twitter. I won't reproduce it - it properly beggars belief.
Is this some tv series about the titanic - featuring kylie as a maid - which has passed my by ? heads will roll !
It was a Christmas special. If you're a Virgin customer, it's on OnDemand. The Doctor is tempted to bang her - you can tell If the **** has two hearts, I dread to think how many timelord baws would've been rebounding aff the Minogue arse.
Couple of questions: - Is Leggo actually able/allowed to go to these press conferences where the 'questions' have been thinkly-veiled attacks? - Has Spiers not taken a bit of a sabbatical from Scottish Football reporting etc to focus on his golf show on the radio, as opposed to Tom English being "Odious Creep's main mouthpiece"?
Leggo is an Ex-journalist. He isn't in the NUJ so has no business at press conference. English is a cock. IMO much more of a cock than Spiers.
Hearts, Tom English’s column, plus the tone of many questions directed at Alistair McCoist at press conferences have all added up and led to the Rangers manager querying the motives behind these attacks and attempts to set an anti Rangers agenda. There is no doubt in my mind, after reading McCoist’s words carefully and knowing the man, he would not have gone down this road lightly. Or mccoist is just using the same tactic he always does. Which is to deflect from the fact he is a bad manager and is struggling. There are plenty of Rangers haters out there who are now angry at how well Rangers and Rangers supporters are coping with such reduced status. Yeah they are really showing us how it should be done. Peterhead 1 rangers 1
We are supposed to be upset that Rangers went out of business, started up as a new club and began life in the bottom tier of the league structure........uh huh Many of us said that this is exactly...EXACTLY what was going to happen whilst they were clowning round pretending that nothing at all was happening.
Back to his best: [h=2]Monday, 17 September 2012[/h][h=3]ALEX THOMSON - A QUEER HACK AND THE SUN[/h]IT would be interesting to discover what Sir Alex Ferguson and Brendan Rogers think of Channel Four’s increasingly discredited Alex Thomson and his dreadful description of Rangers supporters as Daleks. Especially when the Manchester United and Liverpool managers have been so outspoken in their condemnation of the way supporters of their clubs sing such vile songs about the loss of lives in the Munich and Hillsborough Disasters. After all, is there any difference between the appalling loss of life suffered by Manchester United on the tarmac of Munich or those who perished in the crush at Hillsborough and those souls lost on Stairway 13 at Ibrox? Except, of course, that the 66 who had the life crushed out of them on that appalling day in January 1971 were supporters of Rangers. And as such are fair game for any smart ass wise guy who wants to make a name for himself. Any prancing poltroon of a pathetic poseur. And any Channel Four reporter by the name of Alex Thomson. I cannot think of any journalist who would have written, broadcast or Tweeted such a vile, low , twisted, sick, sad,, sinister scum- like—slur, other than Channel Four’s Alex Thomson. But then again, Alex Thomson has form in this department. He helped to publicise an equally sick and twisted internet posted video, made by Celtic supporters, which depicted the statue of John Greig, which stands as a monument to the 66 who perished in the Ibrox Disaster, running away. Alex Thomson said he thought it was funny. Thomson then tried to squirm off the hook in a cowardly fashion by claiming he did not know the purpose of the statue. Aye, right. For this was the same Alex Thomson who wrote at great length on his Official Channel Four blog and on his Official Channel Four Twitter account, that he bought a ticket for last season’s final Ibrox Old Firm game, from someone he met at the statue. Are we to believe that, as a reporter, Alex Thomson’s natural journalistic curiosity was not sufficiently aroused that day to make him look at the John Greig statue and learn of its purpose? If he did not, then he is a queer sort of a hack. (Look who's talking) A conclusion many who have watched his television reports on Channel Four, read his Official Channel Four blogs and followed his Official Channel Four Twitter comments, may have come to some time ago. No doubt, now, Alex Thomson will now try to attempt to pull off the same trick while explaining away his Dalek jibe at Rangers supporters, claiming he did not know it is common currency among certain sections of Celtic supporters – the low life kind he appears to have kept company with – and that it refers to the inability of the Dr Who villains to negotiate stairs. Now, I must make it clear that such vile talk is not common currency across the board and generations when it comes to Celtic fans. Not one of the many friends I have who support Celtic would ever use it and this is especially true of those old enough to remember the terrible sorrow which gripped Glasgow and which crossed the Great Divide for days and weeks after those 66 innocent souls were lost. Daleks is the insult of choice for the more hard line, extremist Irish Republican supporting section of Celtic fans, who belong to the internet generation where Alex Thomson seems to seek his following and approval. (aha, that explains why none of us have heard of it) In other words, the bigots. In the coming days, as the countdown begins to Sunday at Anfield and the first Liverpool-Manchester United match since the Hillsborough cover-up was finally revealed, there will be more stories in English newspapers and much talk on radio and television stations – Sky especially – about the need to end the songs of hate about Hillsborough and Munich. So far, though, there has been no such campaign in Scottish newspapers, on local radio phone-ins or on BBC Scotland Television, to call Channel Four’s Alex Thomson to account for his vile, vicious and low life Daleks slur on the memory of the 66 innocents, the Rangers supporters who died on Stairway 13 in the Ibrox Disaster. Now would be a good time to put pressure on them to turn up the heat on Channel Four’s Alex Thomson. (You could not turn the heat up on a cooker you cretin) It would be particularly appropriate if the Sun - after the shameful part it played it promoting Philmacgiollabhain - and its editor, Andy "Halfwit" Harries, took up this cause and indulged in some real reporting.
Aye, the Sun The most shameful thing that's come out about the Sun recently is that they published an interview with Phil McGillivan ...and just one thing Being a "hardline extremist republican" doesn't make you a bigot. Nor does supporting Celtic. Nor does using the internet. Thanks to Leggat and McMurdo, I've ripped the arse out the dalek thing - I had never heard it until these cretins went on about it. I love it It's the most double-jointed bit of mopery I've ever come across. It takes a special kind of spastic to come away with this keech.
"Daleks is the insult of choice for the more hard line, extremist Irish Republican supporting section of Celtic fans, who belong to the internet generation where Alex Thomson seems to seek his following and approval" i object as a hard line, extremist, irish rebublican bigot i have never used the term "dalek" to describe a rangers fan
Wednesday, 19 September 2012 THE CONFUSION OF ALEX THOMSON DURING a long lifetime in journalism I've encountered my share of outstanding operators and queer coves, plus many others who were total duds. And having an excellent job does not automatically mean a journalist must be included in the first category and not the last. For instance, back in the early 1970s, when I worked in London the then mighty Daily Express ran a series in which they claimed to have discovered one of Adolf Hitler's henchmen, Martin Bormann living in South America. It turned out to be pure bunkum and baldersdash and the guy responsible for the tale, after being shown the door of the Express building - known as the Black Lubianka - crossed Fleet Street and joined the Daily Mail.Where, just a few years later he turned up another tall tale. This one claimed that British Leyland operated a secret slush fund to bribe politicians. It was however, like the highly paid senior journalist's story about the Nazi in South America, sheer bunkum and balderdash. A load of old tosh and toffee.(Tosh and toffee) I recount the story in order to cut the feet from those who seek to deflect my professional criticism of Channel Four's Alex Thomson by claiming that just because he has such a high profile job, Alex Thomson must be a good journalist. In the view of this old hack, Alex Thomson is not a good journalist. (Well colour me shocked) I base this judgment of his professionalism on many of the things he has let slip on his Official Channel Four blog and also on his Official Channel Four Twitter account. The latest insight in how Alex Thomson goes about things comes courtesy of his very own and very Official Channel Four blog, in which he seeks to justify his decision to write the foreword for Philmacgiollabhain's book, while, at the same time attempting to distance himself from Philmacghoillabhain, by making an astonishing claim. Alex Thomson says he has never met Philmacgiollabhain. Despite the fact he has written the foreword to Phimacghiollabhain's book. (Is it really "Astonishing" Leggo?) Now we must take Channel Four's Alex Thomson at his word. Which once again calls his journalistic judgment into question.I cannot think of anyone who would lend his name - and in Alex Thomson's case, that of his employers ITN - to a book written by someone he has never met. (See 1 below) It also seems surprising to me that his Channel Four employers and their ITN bosses allowed Alex Thomson to do so.(How do you figure that Leggo, is that opinion based upon your doubtless vast knowledge of TV news?) It certainly seems extremely strange to me that a well known, world travelled national television journalist should agree to write to foreword to a book written by a man he has never met and who's journalistic pedigree is, to say the least, questionable. I mean, it's not even as though Alex Thomson could call on his personal experiences of Philmacgiollabhain as a journalist in order that he form a view of just how well informed, or otherwise, Philmacghiollabhain is. At least, not in any major way. (As shown below it is not in any way unusual for the foreword to be penned by someone who has not even met the author, it is commonplace in publishing because it is a marketing tool). We know this because it is something else which Alex Thomson tells us in his Official Channel Four blog. Alex Thomson wrote: "I have never met Mr Mac Giolla Bhain. (There you go David, he admitted he has never met Phil McG, i've not read his blurb for the book but i'll bet he never claimed to have met him in the foreword either). "He was not the source for any of the major stories about Rangers Channel 4 News broke this year." I can well believe that, as so many of the Rangers stories which Alex Thomson reported on Channel Four and claimed as exclusives. were rehashes of tales already published in Scottish newspapers, after having been unearthed by the many good, honest, diligent and highly professional journalists Alex Thonmson, in common with Philmacgiollabhain, was so disparaging of. (Simply lies or outright denial, I notice that this is often an accusation thrown at Thompson but I have yet to hear tell of exactly which stories he reported that had already been covered by the MSM). There was also a strange and inconsistent tone about much of what Alex Thomson wrote in his blog, leading many to ponder the possibility that he had been ordered by his ITN bosses to try to distance himself from Philmacghiollabhain after the Scottish Sun said Philmacgiollabhain was tarred by the brush of bigotry. (Who atre this oft quoted "Many" who pondered?) On the one hand, Alex Thomson wrote of Philmaciollabhain : "He wishes to see Rangers FC obliterated as far as I can discern."I wish to see Rangers in the Champions League again."Mr Mac Giolla Bhain supports Celtic. I (let me say this just one more time) don’t." (Oh the sneaky bastard Thompson, he's obviously lying is'nt he?) On the other hand, and reverting to type, Alex Thomson, commenting on what happenend with Philmacgiollabhain's book and the Sun, also wrote: "The Scottish Sun’s u-turn and refusal to serialise, having done a double-page spread promoting the author and the coming serialisation-that-never-was will long remain a baffling and scarcely explained episode."Alex Thomson continued his defence of Philmacgiollabhain, he wrote: "Apparently it was not worries about a boycott. Apparently it was not the result of intimidation."But didn’t The Sun publish two pages on the author being threatened by Rangers’ fans in their own pre-serialisation splash? The answer to that last question posed by Alex Thomson is yes, the Sun did. It also published a quote from Strathclyde Police which said they had investigated Philmacgiollabhain's allegations and found no evidence to substantiate them.Just as Strathclyde Police, not once, but twice, investigated wild allegations from Alex Thomson that I had physically threatened him, only for those investigations to reveal , again according to an official Strathclyde Police statement, no evidence of any criminality. (No they did not, those are your words these are the words that were used "A Strathclyde Police spokesperson told The Daily Telegraph: “An investigation was carried out but we were unable to establish any evidence of criminality.” That is a far cry from FINDING NO EVIDENCE ) Something which drove Alex Thomson to level corruption allegations against Strathclyde Police on his official Channel Four Twitter account. All of which takes us back to those I have encountered in a long lifetime in journalism who fall into the category of duds. Perhaps it's time for Channel Four to despatch Alex Thomson to South America. Who knows who he may claim to discover hiding in a rain forrest. Hitler? 1:THE FOREWORD A foreword (one of the most often misspelled words in the language) is most often written by someone other than the author: an expert in the field, a writer of a similar book, etc. Forewords help the publisher at the level of marketing: An opening statement by an eminent and well-published author gives them added credibility in pitching the book to bookstores. Forewords help the author by putting a stamp of approval on their work. http://www.bpsbooks.com/BPS-Books-b...e-Between-a-Foreword-Preface-and-Introduction 2: If you don't know the author, rather than admitting that you're writing for a total stranger, talk about the relevance of the project and rave about how much you believe in its validity. http://www.absolutewrite.com/freelance_writing/fabulous_forewords.htm
Leggo getting his pish-stained panties in a twist over the interpretation of who should write a Foreward and why. I thought Timmy Tomo was quite honest about it. He has no problem with Rangers FC, The Rangers FC, the vast majority of Rangers fans. He has an issue with those who abuse him without basis, Bloggers who write fabricated drivel (Both Celtic & Rangers) and the MSM in Scotland. Leggo is coming across as a beel-bot extrodinaire as usual.
