Last season's looked more stylish than this season's almost throw-back-to-the-90's look. Totally sad.
Far from being the worst away kit EVER. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Simple really. Red was always going to feature on one of the kits. Its a popular colour in the Asia region. All part of brand awareness i'd imagine.
Red was always the change strip colour as far back as the 60's only then with white shorts & red socks, simply but effective. The classic red/white half shirts were from the early 70's which is why the red/white 3rd shirt last year was well received by the oldies on here!!!!! I don't have any problem with this years change strips.
I liked the orange kit last season. And now that I've seen the new kits in the flesh, I quite like them. With that said, they could be better, I'm sure. I never want Adidas or Nike, though. I want something different. Umbro would be decent since they're British. How about View From?
I didn't mind last season's 3rd away kit in red - at least it had some style. I also don't have problems with Red, as it has been the away colour for us for eons. However, it's the design of the away kit this season, it really is god-awful.
Unfortunately due to the Air Asia connection we will be stuck with red and white for the duration. Wish the old Dennis the Menace hoops were back but we'd need a different sponsor with the right colours. Can't think of one apart from the Devil and he's busy with The Scum.
I didn't particularly like the Mango kit, it was a bit insipid. The red and white 3rd kit was a nod back to the 70s and my personal favourite away kit, but if Dennis the Menace returns that'll do nicely next season. I wouldn't be surprised to see Nike or Adidas on board with the potential far-east market...
TF confirmed we will have thicker hoops next year, plus dennis the menace is coming back and the 3rd kit will also be striped
Oh, and the other thing I forgot to add - the famous kit from 84/85 with the Guinness on it - that was an Adidas kit - albeit before the current 3-stripe style came back into vogue....... and I know we all loved that kit, home and away. If Adidas could repeat that kit and somehow incorporate a subdued 3-stripe and make it look as good as the old one, then I'm all for it.
Already at City. Reading, Chelsea, Spurs, Wigan, Everton, West Brom, Swansea aways for sure and probably Newcastle.
