Because ****face.... we havent renewed our kit manufacture deal as we signed a long term one yonks ago. We are actually receiving far less than we could get but nike is the biggest kit maker in the world and we are the biggest club in the world in the eyes of a sponsor. As I said, it is expected due to the relationship between Nike and United that the next deal in 2014/15 will be a world record. The domestic deals were increased because a new player got involved so everyone had to up their bids significantly. Same broadcaster is hellbent on getting as much of the OS rights it can and has the financial power to do it. Said broadcaster is Al Jazeera.
Spot on. The fact of the matter is United are praying for something going to have good and bad effects on them. Yes it will limit the financial power City and Chelsea have, but it will also mean that they will have to deal with both Liverpool and Arsenal. Both will be self sustainable, low expenditure and high commercial growth. I reckon by 2014, especially with the way Liverpool are hoovering up sponsors, Liverpool could be the PL's commercial superpower.
Apparently their coverage ****s on skys and the rest. They sell as a package coverage of all PL games, all La Liga games, and selected games from almost every major league and cup in the world.
Well your post about Man United making £500 million is nonsense. You could fertilise a field with the amount of bullshit in it.
Take a deep breath mate, you are getting far too wound up by this Overseas revenue is already comparable to domestic revenue, and has increased at a much faster rate over the past two decades: http://swissramble.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/in-premier-league-sun-always-shines-on.html With the UK still in recession, it's easy to see how the overseas revenues have much greater potential to increase. Discredit the quote? It's Dave Whelan, he discredits himself pretty much every time he opens his mouth. But if that's how you want to play it: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...n-spending-in-the-premier-league-8106912.html "Manchester United and Liverpool will today both press the Premier League board to introduce financial controls on clubs' spending that would force every side to break even each year or face sanctions." I look forward to your futile efforts to 'discredit' this quote by waffling on about UIR and avoidance P.S. Speaking of avoidance, can I have my £100 now please?
Ahh, I see so when Dave Whelan was going round saying Martinez had all but been offered the Anfield job this was gospel but when he states a fact about United it's a nonsense...Please!
Thats correct. UIR has spoken about avoidance full stop. The FFP may assist United in some ways but in order to assist you further you must be free of the Glazers. That £70 million interest repayment is going to hamstring you.
Point proven. Dave Whelan talks ****e. He is about as reliable as the S*n. Thanks for proving me right again
I forwarded the argument merely to prove that Plattini's interpretation was not the final word on the issue. If City could prove that their deal was so unlike any other and therefore not capable of benchmarking the whole concept of Fair Value gets blown completely out of the water. it seems sad to me that a set of proposals that attempt to ensure that our clubs even remain in existence should be so attacked. If FFP in some form does not work then sooner or later we will see some Euro breakaway.
Hasn't hamstrung us at all so far. For all City and Chelsea's spending, we were 90 seconds away from the title last year
£70million Why are you making figures up Slevin? £45million is the correct figure and thats before we factor in the recent decrease in our debt and interest payments. £35million is probably closer to the actual figure now.
In the last year the Glazers syphoned £71 million of Manchester Uniteds money. Face it even with the FFP's you're ****ed, City and Chelsea won't be as strong but Liverpool and Arsenal will be able to knock you down and kick the **** out of you. Who the fcuk is Slevin? Are you hearing voices?
Errm no I didn't. You have as much proof of that as you have of Manchester United making £500 million in revenue in 2014. You spouted enough bullshit to fertilise 100 acres of land.
Slevin, it would help your case in claiming you are not Alan Slevin if you didnt post word for word the exact same **** you used to post. It would be like Matth coming back and posting the same **** he did while going, 'I'm not matt, honest' followed by some gay laugh. So quit the act, stop denying what blatantly obvious and be honest with yourself. Honesty is the first step to recovery Slevin.
