Japan won 1.0. Great to have another country to support.

I've been supporting Japan since before it was cool.

Hope England lose both games. I still find it really hard to get enthusiastic about watching a bunch of talentless, passionless, no hopers play awful football and scrape to a win. Must be tough for West Ham fans, they get that every week...

I think we are just unrealistic about England. Lots of countries enter tournaments knowing they will not win. We almost invariably qualify and get out of the group stage. That is just our level...we should accept it as we are not exciting at the moment.

Japan's game today was a friendly but on Tuesday they play Iraq in a World Cup qualifier.

Why? I haven't really supported them since 2007, when I decided that I wasn't going to care about supporting England until the players started caring about playing for England. They made a start in 2012, but haven't done enough yet (mainly because they spoiled it by playing Rooney). Since then i've supported Germany. I don't see why you should support a national team just because your mother uncrossed her legs within it's borders. Anyway, MY country does not have a national team. I'm not English, I'm British.

I'll grant you the rest of that. Our problem is having more passion than talent.
