By then I hope to have dispensed with it Theo, but I might get the bike out and have a go at getting Sky to offer me a great contract. I am growing my sideboards in anticipation.:emoticon-0100-smile

I think that there have been 13 Watford players who have gone on to manage the club.

    How many can you name?

Evening all, been so quiet at work the last two days..........at least it let's me go to the gym in work time rather than use up my own precious time;)
The Military have to give you the opportunity to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, I just wish I had made the effort to go more often over the last couple of years!

Got me there, ofh - can only come up with 11. :(

    1. Fred Pagnam
    2. Neil McBain
    3. Bill Findlay
    4. Ron Gray
    5. Johnny Paton
    6. Mike Keen
    7. Steve Harrison
    8. Glenn Roeder
    9. Kenny Jackett
    10. Malky Mackay
    11. Sean Dyche

I suppose that, at a pinch, you could also include Dave Bassett who was on the books as an amateur in the mid 60's (but personally I'd rather forget both spells) - and does Neil McBain count as two as he had two spells as manager?

And it sounds as though you've already had the blood-doping. I'd be happy to drive one of those cars that follows the riders and ends up a a pleasant restaurant each night...

That was a hell of a good go BB. Missing one's: Ken Furphy and Harry Kent (1910-1926) <applause>

Is there a reason that you get this offer? I cannot imagine that Natwest have the same concerns for their employees.

A special question for Sweden. Name the player who played one game for WFC after playing for Hästveda IF ; IFK Hässleholm ; Helsingborgs IF .

Didn't know about Harry Kent - but did think about including Ken Furphy - but left him out as I didn't think he met the criterion of being a player who went on to be manager. Didn't he come from Workington as player-manager?

It is to enable us to pass our fitness tests, if we are given time within the normal working day there is no excuse as to why no one should fail as they are given sufficient time to train to pass. Saying that I am exempt taking the test because of my arthritic knees;) would rather be able to do the test but my knees are not good enough to run the bleep test! They used to let the over 50's take a bike test but that has now stopped and everyone who is fit enough undertakes the bleep test.

I thought Ken Furphy arrived as a player manager rather than as a player who became a manager. Does he still live in Devon?

Fair enough, he did come as player/manager, but did stop being a player at Watford and only a manager, which is why I included him.

Yes he still lives in Devon and has won bowls competitions down there. Until recently he was still doing work for local radio. He might even still be doing it.

    Correct ak.

Thanks for the coffee. Beautiful day here. All of my stitches are out and I am healing up well externally. Next thing to come is to change the existing plaster, but have to wait for a couple of weeks before that will happen.

OFH - Better mind out for the strict dope testing in the TDF OFH, best not be too liberal with the WD40 or you might get in trouble.

Afternoon everyone, lovely day in West West London..

good afternoon all! Work is done, the weekend is kicking off today...i'm so excited now i can barely contain it..and i'm bad enough at the worst of times!

Little Miss H is nervous, but excited too, especially now the presents are rolling in, though she assures me it's not about the presents...which sounded good to me, i wonder if she meant it!

Anyway, last few bits to do today, and tomorrow i'm uni shopping if i get a chance...it's not stop at the mo...hopefully next week i'll get time to actually stop and talk!

Ooh, and i decided, since im going to be in Leeds next weekend, that i'd probably go to the Bolton game...why not eh? Just a short hop from Leeds! Thank You Master Hornette, for picking such a well located university ;).

Laters all, have a wonderful day..and thanks for the caramel latte Ak! xx
