Looks like he's been playing Premier League football for years. You can tell his confidence is growing as he's started to try a few hollywood passes and it was his shot that led to the first goal today. I go to a few Leicester City games and i think going on loan there made a huge difference to him. If Pacheco can get the same out of his loan to Norwich it'll be great. We spent ã4.5mil on Poulsen when we had Spearing in the reserves already- the mind boggles!
Here's something that explains that....Roy Hodgson.Don't worry Poulsen will be shipped back to Denmark in the summer. He'll be driven out of the club in the same car as Konchesky and Jovanovic.Unless Joe Cole goes on a much needed diet,He'll be gone too.It seems he's piled on the pounds so much,He makes Fat Frank,Anderson and Shrek look thin. And these three are the fattest players in the premier league.
it was interesting that Cole didn't celebrate his goal today, but all the other lads tried to make a fuss of him. Comfort eating maybe?
I didn't see the game today so I don't know what Spearing was like today but in previous games he has grown into a good player. He's performed well since Kenny has come back and hopefully he can keep progressing.
I hope he continues to progress.Again he was wonderful. Not the biggest, not the most talented, but jesus he's got an enormous heart. He's a competitor and thats the reason why Kenny likes him.A lot of credit has to go to both the full-backs.Jack Robinson was harshly booked.John Flanagan was immense.
A Fulham fan wrote to Tomkins last summer to tell him what we could expect from Hodgson. One of his points was, "Roy doesn't do Academies." To quote the Great Midtabler himself, "Youngsters get you relegated." I think that was because he knows he's leaving.
Amazing to think that Cole was looked at as one of the most exciting players in the premiership at the start of the season.
He is talented without question and was mentioned by some as gifted as Gazza. But he's carrying a bit of weight. He'll either have to shape up or ship out.
Ship out. It is quite obvious he is well past his best. However, Spearing is looking like a future Anfield hero
Not too sure of that yet. Haven't seen enough of him to judge properly but so far he hasn't impressed. Like KPR says, he's carrying a bit of weight. If he can shift that and find his form I'd keep him until at least Jan.
spearing and lucas are looking a really good partnership, but we need a little more attacjing flair from the wings if we go with these two. not having wingers, or central midfield flair, led to suarez and kuyt dropping deep and out wide, and left us with limited options in the box a good 10+ times today.
The entire country was calling for him at the World Cup long before the start of the season and before he signed for us.
