Will United be debt free? Are you sure about that? I'm not convinced to be honest, from what I can make out, the Glazers pay back loans by taking out loans. They allegedly paid back the PIKs with borrowed money. Not once have they paid back for anything whilst dipping into their own pocket. Manchester Uniteds bond repayments could yet be paid for with a loan, which means they will remain in debt. Which clubs could pick fights with United and win? Liverpool and Arsenal are the clubs that spring to mind. Liverpools revenue is growing whilst their expediture is decreasing.
If they were repaid by a further United loan then they would still be on United balance sheet - which they're not. If the Glazers have taken out personal loans to repay them then good - hopefully it will force them to sell the club to repay their personal loans but United debt has certainly fallen significantly.
Loans are loans, personal or not. If UEFA apply the FFP rules correctly any debt Manchester United incur will be added to their outgoings, therefore will be deducted from the amount they can spend on reinvesting. It looks like Manchester United are going to be in debt once the Glazer family own them.
So you think PERSONAL glazer loans that aren't on the MANCHESTER UNITED accounts are taken into account for the FFP rules If a loan is not the debt of the companies it simply cannot be included.
? And like all mancs are versed in all aspects of financial business and the private dealings between the Glazers and United. Eric at least had a go but you just jumped on the bandwagon with no evidence that you even know your arse from your elbow.
Whoever explained that to you should have pointed out that turnover includes outgoings and incomings, it is the relationship netween these that decides profit or loss
