Get in from work to see the Taraabt thread closed. Gutted as it started out as a healthy debate which was very dividing in opinions. If people get so frustrated because someone doesn't see the game, tactics, selection or players performance in the same way as they do, then i suggest you have a think about what football is all about. Opinions are what make football tick, from the boards choice of manager/coach to the directions to the next away game!! If we all agreed with each other it would become boring, i still think this is a fantastic board to post on and i don't mind watching the arguments unfold as pressure posting doesn't influence my opinion therefore causes no offence. If threats are made then who honestly cares, very few will ever cross paths in this lifetime. I thought that last debate was a good thread and it got ruined by the usual suspects with no doubt the mods getting involved. I say let these threads ride out as closing them only vents more frustration to appear in another post!
people need to give their opinions on football matters not throw pathetic threatening behaviour to other posters because they dont agree with something it is a shame because as nuts had pointed out early this morning it was a great thread at one time
Seemed to me that Queenslander!! Went off the rails. It's obvious that he is having personal problems that are none of our businessnand I think they are manifested in aggression on here, which given spelling may be influenced by booze. If I'm wrong about this Queens, apologies, and good luck with whatever it is, but think before you hit send, the lads you are taking it out on don't deserve it and it's a drag for the rest of us.
Pains me to say it, but this board has gone right downhill of late; must be something to do with all the money we're all rolling about in or something. We need to go back to that no arse in our trousers spirit that had us huddling around a thin candle to keep us warm. Or else the only posters left will be cranks drunks and lunatics; we're already halfway there.
Just read the thread in its latter stages and must say that the Queenslander cat certainly got annoyed at a difference of opinion!
Normally I'd agree with your OP Bob- sometimes I do think too many on here are over-sensistive. But when stuff about killing people is put on here even if it is not meant seriously or is threatening anyone in particular, then I agree it has gone way too far, and that thread did need closing.
. The last thing a Mod wants to do Is close a thread. It was encouraging to see a great thread develop with members standing toe to toe trading blow after decent blow. I love disagreement/ argument etc etc. it's healthy. But just when I thought we had all learned to disagree with but respect others opinions, it all goes pear shaped. Simple point. There is no place for insults or personal threats on this board. It will not be tolerated. End of.
When someone does go off the deep end it doesn't help that some - as Jammers said on the thread in question - start pushing that person a little further. There have been quite a few decent threads that have got sidetracked like this recently ... and it is not all down to the same two or three people.
I'm bored of threads being hijacked, people getting personal or looking to bully individuals. I rarely post these days so's not to get drawn in. Shame really, some good people here but when the bad eventually out weighs the good(it's heading that way) it'll be time to bugger off!
What's all the commotion about? That is just about one of the worse threads I've read on here. For one of our most respected poster's and avid supporter's to be subjected to such direct abuse, disgusting language and veiled threats is completely unacceptable on our what was once fantastic board. I was hoping this would all disappear once the season started. Sadly not.
I might be wrong but I doubt it But i think the guy is on drugs. Hopefully he gets himself sorted out and gets back to making good posts again.

This thread has just been hijacked by cerny(Secret Ranger). He hasn't made a single constructive post for a long time, and as far as i can tell, only comes on this forum to bait swords. He needs to be banned.
