put in a good performance in a foreign league that prides iutself on agression

this guy came through RM ranks and made the RM 1st team after playing in one of the best young midfield teams in the world...
He did it a every levl..and people doubt him...this guy is buy a mile..the best player at our club...
he is skillfull, agressive, tactical and consistant.....

In short..he is everything T wants to be. maybe he canhelp him

I love the guy for what he did in the lower leagues..but this is the big league now and if he cant deliver then byeeeee...

Im sure in 4-8 years time..Tarbs will have a great game against Barca or Man Ure in the Champs league, and loads here will say i told you so......I'l just be happy remembering him being skinned week in week out in a lower prem team...

If Granero has proved himself at real Madrid, why is he playing for us? Not that I mind, I hope he'll be a great signing for us, but let's be honest, if he was good enough for real, he wouldn't be with us...

I know you're a Season ticket holder and fly over for all the home games but for me that's just impossible! I can barely afford to keep an arse in my trousers never mind fly over to London every other week! Still, maximum respect for the effort you put in and the expense you go to. You are of course correct that there can be no substitute for actually going to games compared to TV, radio etc so again, respect to all the boys that get down there regularly.

In my defence, last season's TV coverage was unprecedented. Between ESPN, Sky and Setanta, almost HALF of all Ranger's games were shown live! It was unbelievable! Gone are the days of being lucky to only see them once or twice!

Add to that my two games I do actually get to (I know, BIG DEAL!!), then that's half. Then throw in World Commentary for the other half (I don't bother with streams any more as they're fu*king uselss) and extended highlights on World and also throw in QPRNET's match reports and its not too bad considering.

Once again though, its a very poor substitute for actually going to the games because there's so much stuff you see live at the ground that you don't on a TV screen or hear on radio.

Fair point Mack. I think what he meant though was that Granero has played at the top level and proved capable, although obviously not at Madrid's crazily high standards.
Tarbs has yet to have a good season in any top flight so I'll reserve judgement on the lad. If/when he does it however, I'll be over the moon that's for damn sure.

I'm not too sure many of our games get beamed to deepest Queensland. That muppet has made a show of himself here.

I must say Swords, I disagree with you on Bothroyd and Lambert's contribution in the Championship. First of all, Bothroyd's team at the time (ie Cardiff) never even got promoted out of that league, never mind winning it. Lambert may have scored plenty of goals but he didn't have the assists Adel had in his glory year and secondly, Lambert's team (Southampton) only came second in the league, not first.

Only a few hours ago I posted what a great thread this was. Honest hard hitting argument supported by years of knowledge. Now look at it. A newcomer looking at the last page of this thread would think he has visited the zoo rather than a football forum. Very disappointing AGAIN. It's not too difficult to argue your point strongly without ramming it down someone's throat or firing a personal insult to another poster. Frustration is not an excuse.
