Free? Will he have to pay subscriptions?

You don't have to pay, but paying will unlock bonus features.

Nice of him to offer, but I'd prefer Appy to use the players he currently has than a 38 year old veteran.

Can't help thinking though that he would have made a difference yesterday.

He certainly has the fighting spirit, but does he still have the fitness ?

Unfortunately he is now more injury prone - but I agree, what a character to have in the changing room !!

Get him in as a coach while he gets his qualifications and he can be back-up like Ashley Westwood was a few weeks back.

    Not a bad shout, MAJR.

    He could coach the defenders.

We could certainly tighten up at the back. We're letting in goals to easily ..

Well he says he wants to come back and train with us - clubs do tend to let others come along for training so we could have him around the place for a while maybe.

Beggars can't be choosers. I think it's a very generous offer, proving that not all footballers are money grabbing pub employees.
If he's fit enough and quick enough to get into the team then why not? We can't fill the bench at the moment so an extra name on the team sheet should be a welcome one if it's not costing anything.

Excellent idea. As one of your recent heroes would be a major boost to morale.

He could at least come on as a sub, if he can't do the full 90.

He would be a good player to have, as if we were winning in the late stages of the game, he could help the defense hang on to the lead. Something we've not been great at recently!

What about having a whip round each time he plays? If everyone put in as little as £1, he could get a bit of cash to help him out.

Before anyone comes on with the rich player bit, Hermann does a lot of work for charity, so he's a good egg and would probably give a lot of it away to a good cause.

The time he went round Poole harbour dressed as Elvis on a jetski springs to mind.

We are down to the "bare bones" so Appy is happy for Hermann to back tomorrow for a trial period to see if he's fit enough to play.

On that score, I'd love to see 'Arry back for a while, just so he could do interviews about being down to the bare-bones! <laugh>
