    Hey Folks,

The board has not been very active over the last couple of weeks and posts have started to dwindle. So, whats up folks, isa it the in house bickering, everyone pissed at the lack of takeover news or is it something else. Obvciously, if its something the Mods can influence, we will do our best to sort it out. Let us know....

Lees has been called up to the England under 21 squad. Pearce has selected the 21 yo to travel to Azerbaijan on Thursday night before a home clash with Norway next Monday at Chesterfield`s Proact Stadium. Good Luck to the lad <ok>

Nuzez won't be leaving ER anytime soon after suffering a major knee injury in training on Monday. I just hope that this won't restrict Colin in bringing in the loan players he needs to make a difference to our squad.

Finally, we have heard from Snoddy, why he left. Snodgrass, turned his back on a deal to become United’s top earner to move to the Canaries, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “Neil (manager Warnock) tried to sign me on a longer deal at Leeds, but I told him I wasn’t ready because I wanted to play in the Premier League.
“I heard from him once or twice about signing and that was it.

“I think he was a bit more baffled about what was going on in the boardroom – whether it was going to be (chairman) Ken Bates or new owners in charge.

“I don’t really think he knew 100 per cent what was going on and you can see why now with the indications the takeover’s not happening. If he didn’t know what was going on, then it was hard for me, too

Its good to hear it direct from the player himself, thoughts everyone?

Morning Elland. Late developments on waccoe last night. Apparently someone accessed on of our players new twitter accounts, fobbing himself off as a follower he thought he knew. Player revealed a little too much by stating he though take over would be done and hoped it would as he wanted to see the back of Bates. The unfortunate thing, this is one of our top guys and may have signalled end of Leeds career if Bates does stay on. Twitter causing major probs again. I wont name him cos its been done in several places already and I dont want to add fuel to the fire as it were.
The lull on the board here may have a lot to do with the international break. No footie for couple of weeks. The bickering might not be helping either but really doesnt bother me

Morning all and yes it's been quiet on here, but its the same elsewhere. I think people have had enough of the T/O stuff as its all everyones been talking about for months. The spat between different factions on here will not have helped either, because that too was all down to the T/O and who's tweeting who and who's reliable or not. The facts are obvious though.

    1) Nobody seems to be in the know because all the so-called dates have fallen. LUST know as much as I do I'm afraid and have done themselves no harm in getting involved from day one, but they make too many claims/assumptions which are never backed up.

    2) Bates is still at the helm and still doing the club serious damage. He's now weaker though and Harvey and Bates are not on the same page anymore. Warnock is goosed without the funds he was expecting and is pissed off with the T/O like everyone else, but he'll just get his head down and try and get results with what we have.

    3) The huge signing Bates bragged about "We have just signed a player worth £4m and got him for free, thats how football should do business". What a crock of poo that fool talks. Nunez was given a 4-year deal and we'll be paying him his wages or settling his contract to get rid, but either way Warnock needed him out to free up his wages for a loan player. Well done Bates, you give this lightweight player a massive deal and not bother extending good players contracts

    Morning Everyone

I don't think the bickering has helped but this has been a 'stressful' summer with Take Over, Snoddy and the amount of player that have come in. There is differing opinion on all matters so it's gonna cause some tension.

Good on Lees but when has Azerbaijan been a part of Europe and for that matter when was Australia in Asia?

I'll admit I had high hope for Nunez after I saw his MLS record but now I'm Sadly disappointed but that's football.

I'm sick of all this has it/ hasn't it B.S. every time a new date comes up I get excited then I get knocked down when the date goes. The club needs to be more transparent on what's going on. It's dragged on for two long. Bates need to go.

Not posted much on here since I joined properly a few months back. Reason really is lack of belief that the club is being run in a way that is fair to me, personally, as someone expected to shell out hard earned cash. (I say personally, obviously if it applies to me it can apply to most fans too, I guess).

After a couple or more years of denying the truth to myself, I woke up 18 months ago to the way things were being run and withdrew financial support. I only go to away league games now, stopped LUTV, don't buy any merchandise, and will only change back when I am sure there is a change.

I don't see the point in posting another diatribe on this subject, which is why I am pretty quiet, and when I do comment it tends to be short and ironic.

At the moment I am finding it hard to get excited about debates about individual players, as I feel sick about the whole project. Could change rapidly with a takeover though :)

oh, in case the above prompts a "not a real fan" response (it might not on here, but it sure would on JA606) I was born and grew up in Beeston LS11 and supported Leeds since 1962.

Just realised thats 50 years. I wonder if Mr Bates would like to give me an anniversary present? I can suggest something if he would ;)

20/20 I myself havn't been all last season, and in fact I stopped going after we didn't bring any players in the january before, when we were 2nd in the league. We only needed a couple of players to guarantee promotion and we didn't, so the wheels fell off and we finished 7th. I swore never to back Bates with my money anymore until he left, and I know we have thousands doing the same, who turn out to away games all over, but refuse to give Bates any more of their cash.

I see the YEP have headlines about knife edge talks ...... Read through it and all it does is regurgitate stuff posted on twitter and anywhere else. Its shoddy journalism, and they can't get any real info from anyone even though they say they have contacted x and y who will not respond. Sources close to the negotiations at this end say the deal is still there, but its last chance saloon as the consortium walks away this week ...... Sick to death of it.

Whatever happens we will see bates put a spin on it, either he refused to sell because the club would have been in trouble after he left, as he couldn't trust the consortium. Or he did a great deal for the club and thats why it took so long, to ensure he left a legacy ...... I'm hoping that if it collapses we get a proper interview with these arabs and get the real reason why it collapsed. We know what that reason will be, but its nice to read that bates is a bandit in the press. The indemnity clause according to the YEP is still the problem as its a standard clause in any contract but Bates apparently won't sign it, probably because he's left a load a of problems behind that have been covered.

I'd be happy with that Bucks. Does not have to be a shiny new gold one, either.

In fact if its been used by him first, all the better ;)

Morning all. Bit tired of all this bickering & T/O cr%p. But sooner or later, we'll see progress & a change of ownership. For now, I'm just concentrating on how we're doing in the league & various cup competitions. Warnock will get the best out of what he has, & our current league position is good enough for this stage of the season.

On Snoddy, I can follow why he wanted to leave. He wants PL footy now in order to help his international chances. The fact that championship level is probably better than the Scottish PL seems to have escaped Craig Levein's rather miopic take on things. Heyho, Norwich are a nice provincial club with other ex Leeds players helping to form the backbone of a reasonable team. Good luck to the lad I say.

On Nunez, if/when he returns, I would like to see him bulk up a bit & either go out on loan or spend time with the development squad. I think he will come good. But maybe we don't have the patience to wait. Possibly he could be a real handful in the PL, where there is more & more emphasis on keeping the ball on the floor & going round players, rather than hoofball & tough tackling.

Doc, the spin is what annoys me the most. I was never a fan who expected us to spend huge, just hold onto key players that could have been our future.

Boggers, on Snoddy. It still pisses me off. On one level I agree with you, its understandable. But.........

Its all about momentum in business, life and football. Thats why sometimes clubs win L1 and next thing you know they are in the Prem. Because we failed to keep the momentum (indeed we barely had any when we did get promoted from L1, remembering how we squeezed though at the last breath of the season) that meant that players who - undoubtedly - would have said "I can be a prem player with Leeds next season, why would I go to a second ranked Prem side now" did n ot say that. Add to that what I suspect is a particularly inflexible approach to contracts and pay, and you have the exodus we have had.

In Snoddys case, more the lack of belief than pay, I would guess - in others the balance would have been different.

So I understand why Snoddy left, given the facts at the time. But it was primarily due to the failure to develop any momentum on the pitch.

Morning fellow whites-well happy for Lees. Deserves the call up. Conflicted over Snoddy, I understand his decision but feel he's left when we needed him most. I know players need to do what is right for them, and I reckon my feelings are the way they are due to me holding him in such a high regard. Maybe I thought he would stay through thick and thin!

Can someone update me over the twitter thing? Haven't heard a thing, and would like to know which player is involved!

Fair comment 2020. In all honesty, if you worked for a company with designs on being a big player but you weren't sure who was about to take you over, would you wait & see or go to a decent company offering you reasonable wages in a nice area? Irritating, but there we go.

agree. don't blame the player at all,, even though the manager did all the "hygiene" things to make him feel wanted. Its not the player that pisses me off, its the environment he was in and who created it

Cheers Bucks and Eire for the info-stuff like that winds me up no end! Twitter is a minefield for players, the risks outweigh the benefits of such a tool for pro footballers. If I were lucky enough to play the game for a living I wouldn't go near social networking sites!
