I was at the training ground yesterday and he was wearing a leg brace and crutches. He struggled to get in his car and when I was talking to him, he said he would be back in the new year. He also said that he hopes Husband gets banned for life, Tom was nearly crying.

No, because no punishment can be given out. The referee saw the incident and took action (giving us a freekick) so the FA aren't allowed to do anything.

Yes they can IF they consider it to be dangerous play. Its open to ones own opinion though. Whats angers me is that Paul Mckenna gets sent off for nowt and a 3 match ban. Typical FA rules.

What like when Joey Barton got sent off against Man City for being a twat. I'm sure he's enjoying his 3 match ban as we speak... The FA/Premier League wern't allowed to do nowt then were they...

That's because he acted up after he'd been sent off.

To expand on TWF's reply, Barton got an automatic 3 match ban for the sending off. He was then charged with 2 further counts of violent conduct against Aguero and Kompany. As he had been sent off those offences fell outside of the jurisdiction of the referee, which is why the FA took action.

Edit - sorry, 4 games for the sending off and 8 for the 2 charges of violent conduct
