That will mean a huge change in style but we saw what Cisse could or couldnt do on his own in the 1st game.
I dont hate him, I just think hes made big mistakes. Buying too many midfielders, getting Green, not sorting out the CB and CF positions and getting rid of a very good HH.
Lets see what happens after few months. Only after a decent amount of games can we judge whether they are mistakes or not. Confident MH can come up with a decent formation without the use of a 'target man'.
I don't think the CF position is an issue, with the quality we have in midfield we can play a 4-3-3 or a 4-5-1 with our wingers interchanging and confusing the hell out of the opposition... We have always played good football for as long as I can remember and as a club don't suit the 'hoof it up to the big guy' mentality... With the standard of players we have brought in it would be a complete waste. If we are talking about set pieces, then we have more than enough height with the likes of Mbia and Nelsen (if he can get them on target). All in all we look better than we ever have done, the added bonus of the international break coming now will give the team time to settle and train together, I think we will see an amazing performance against Chelski.
Signed for Stoke and hes not what we need anyway, we have enough secondary strikers or players that can fill in there but just 1 primary striker in Zamora.
So you think Johnson, Zamora, Cisse and Mackie are all going to be injured at once. Most teams have 4 strikers in thensquad. Which we have so don't see the problem
Look at the players we have signed and how we have TRIED to play over the first few games. We are trying to Lay passing football so don't need a target man.
Johnson, Cisse cant play up front on their own and we have no clue about Mackie so all it would take is an injury to Zamora for us to be screwed.
While 4 specialist strikers would have been nice to have in the squad, we've potentially got a lot of goals in our midfield with granero, hoilett, mackie and taraabt. If even 2 of those can chip in with 10 or so goals, it'll take a lot of pressure off our 3 strikers to bang them in every game...
I don't agree on this. Granero showed a lot of times that he can deliver great crosses, I didn' see a lot of his defence splitting passes, maybe he needs to be instructed to do them more often. I posted his game against vs Espanyol where he shows that he can find his target in the box. I still hope he will grow some balls to play thoose killer balls .
You are saying Cisse can't play up front on his own after the Swansea game. The whole team had a poor game. At other clubs he has played the loan striker role brilliantly. Johnson could play up front by himself with Hoilett or Tarrabt behind him and we all know Mackie can play well up front. Think you are argueing for the sake of it when you are clearly wrong
I believe up to now he's managed to play 90 min per Cardiff game, but we did lose him for a considerable time due to injury in the early part of year.
How many of those players have played up front for QPR on their own and played well? Youre quite clearly the one talking bollocks.
Thats because he had to play every game, he would have probably lasted the season if he was being used as an impact sub.
